Brownsville Vets up on PSJA North 45-14 in what may be the biggest upset in RGV playoff history. All those fights and chirping PSJAN got a rep for came to a head today. Easily 100+ penalty yards and I believe at least one player ejection. Vets never backed down or play scared and just flat out looked like the superior team.

psja acting like jackasses ???

LaVernia throws an INT on the next possession. Davenport gets a field goal. Up 17-0 under 4 minutes in the 1st. This is a complete speed mismatch.

I don't know if it's something in the water or what, but La Vernia is always big and slow.

Belleville is just whipping Silsbee early, 21-0 4 left in 1st.  I don't think Draelon Miller's playing; if he is, he hasn't done jack shit.  Edit: He is playing, but they just gave up a safety and it's 23-0, still 1st.

They finally decided to use their size advantage after that brutal 1st quarter and they put up 17 in the 2nd. Unfortunately they just gave up a 51 yard TD to trail 31-17 with 20 seconds to go before the half. Singletary is just having a field day at WR for the Wolves.

Falls City over Bremond 21-20.

Bremond was pretty salty this year, but the Beavers prevail.

Falls City is one of those schools I just would never bet against.

Half of Brownsville will be at that one

LaVernia finally gets a big stop deep in their territory and promptly goes three and out and then has a punt blocked and returned for a TD. Their punt team has absolutely killed them tonight with some horrific miscues. 38-24 with around 8 minutes left.

SOC was down 24-14 to Midlo Heritage at half, but the Bears have two long TD drives to take the lead in 3rd.

42-31 SOC final

The Bears score quickly and just when it looks like they come up with a recovery on a surprise onside, they instead were offsides negating the recovery. Inexplicable miscues from the special teams all night for the Bears.

Longview lost to Lancaster. Tatum Taylor was out and they were out 4 or 5 other starters due to an illness. Sucks but Lancaster stepped up.

Forney will play Lancaster next week. Furthest Forney has been in 20 years.

That one-handed TD catch by Fallon on 3rd and goal was just ridiculous. The throw was in the only place it could be caught as well. 45-31 Davenport under 3 minutes. LaVernia has it near midfield to begin this drive.

LaVernia turns it over on downs at the Davenport 6 yard line. 45-31 final. That sophomore back Fallon put up at least 200 on the ground tonight to go along with that TD catch and a 65 yard TD run. Really surprised to see Davenport step up physically with a team that definitely specializes in that style of play in LaVernia.

Davenport wins next week against Calhoun by 20 plus. Just too much speed for the Wolves.

Class 4A Division I regional semis
FINAL: Calhoun 27, Alice 14.
Coyotes’ memorable season comes to a close. Sandcrabs return to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2018 to play SA Davenport.

It's a shame that Davenport and Pieper didn't play this season.

I know they're in different divisions, but two new schools that are damn good and very close to each other.

And Dav will kick the shit out of PLC.
