Did the team announce this?  They were talking near the end of the game about Ragans maybe starting.

He's on the ESPN app listed as started also. No Evan Grant types have said anything yet.

Goddamn son, read the thread. Zeke is IL'd, they ain't cutting their backup C for an OF.
Lol, I'm not even drunk! On that note, when Garver coming back? Should be close.

In defense of Fear, I'd rather see us put Jank behind the dish than see fat leon back there ever again. Fucker looks better suited to be running the discount tire in Lake Worth than playing C for the first place Texas Rangers.

He got a new store. He’s GM of the new Hudson Oaks on 180.

Dunning needs to plan all that screwing a little better

Imagine a year ago being upset that Dunning had to miss a start.

What a crazy season.

Ok, is it time to start believing in this team?

We aren't winning shit in the playoffs with our pitching depth.

But we're competitive and fun to watch for the first time in awhile and I'll drink to that.

The lineup and rotation are both top 5. Shaky bullpens break hearts though. Maybe we can get lucky at the deadline like the year we snagged Diekman and Dyson. Also Leiter could be an option if he stops walking people.

Ha, just now saw this. What a fucking gift.

Lol, Adolis didn’t even look like he threw that as hard as he could.   What an idiot.gif

If they manage to sweep the O’s with Cody Bradford in the rotation, then yes, let’s all believe.

There's been talk of when Jake gets back, of keeping Dunning in the rotation and moving Jake to the closers role.  Protect his innings and someone solid on the back end, little like the Braves did with Smoltz towards the end of his career.

That's either the best idea in the world, or the worst.  And really it depends on if Dane stays effective as he has been.

That ain't nothing. Especially after the last several years.

Yeah, there hasn’t been ‘talk’ of that, just some idiot replies on Twitter. Smoltz was a starter the last 5 years of his career.

I literally listened to conversations on talk radio about it last week.  Human beings with their mouths.

I feel like either the studio guys (bascik/buechele/mclemore) or Dave and whichever analyst were talking about maybe having him in the bullpen to build back up instead of a rehab stint in round rock.  Don’t remember if it was just them talking, or if they had heard from the organization that it was being considered.

but yeah that’s different than keeping him there as the closer.

I'm not saying I'm knee deep gung ho for any of it, but it's an interesting topic considering his pattern of continually getting stretched out and hurt.
