Angels without Ohtani, Trout, and Rendon, played like shit since the trade deadline, roster essentially gutted. Man if there were ever a team primed for a sweep, it’s these chumps.

Sweep this series, have Seattle take 2/3 from Houston, and the last 4 against the Ms don’t mean shit (for us anyway)…

You’re right with our 3 game lead on the Ms. They are 8-2 against Houston this year. Problem is, despite depleted Angels, we fuck around far too much on the road.

if the angels try to move trout in the offseason like the rumors have started, it would be wild to see what he'd fetch.  what do you give up for a god that can never stay on the field signed at $37MM indefinitely?  seems like some GM that is throwing a hail mary to keep his job might be interested, but would anyone reasonable be?

hey!  that's very different because you see if you really think about it is not you know but those two things may look similar but really it's not really you know they're totally different and the one that the team i root for was actually quite smart.

This kind of stuff is when I get really worried.

Finally made it back out to a game yesterday.  Great time.  Also first time sitting in the 100 level on first base line which, to bring it back to a discussion dozens of pages back, is probably now my preferred seating level after trying out various locations in park.

did juan gone have beef with someone in the front office?

Hicks. (Tom, the owner at the time.) Rangers re-signed Gonzalez in 2002 at 2 years / $24MM. He was injury plagued and played less than 1/2 the games over that period. A few years later Hicks said the team had essentially thrown away that money on Gonzalez and he brought steroids into the discussion. That didn't sit well with Gonzalez, for years.

I don't know who was instrumental in getting Gonzalez back to Arlington. Nadel and Grieve were always big supporters of his. Wouldn't surprise if they were at the center of it.

There have bene like 6 pops off the bat that I thought were gonzo, but just hang up in the air for can of corn outs in the OF. @Zepol87 is it just thick and hot and muggy or why are the balls dead and not carrying? No wind?
