Outside of Seattle, not sure if there's been a more tortured fanbase in MLB, especially after that 2011 debacle.

So with that in mind, I wish you hard-core and long-suffering Rangers fans a very hard-earned congratulations and "Hooray!" for this World Championship.

All the old Rangers can be released from baseball hell.

Oddibe McDowell, Larry Parrish, Buddy Bell, Toby Harrah, Bump Wills, Jim Sundberg, Charlie Hough, Al Oliver, Lenny Randle, Juan Gonzalez, Rafael Palmeiro, Julio Franco, Mike Hargrove, you name ‘em.

Also, the then-mayor of Arlington, Tom Vandergriff, that made the deal to get the Senator’s franchise to Arlington.

I watched all of them and Mickey Tettleton, Steve Beuchelle, Benji Gil, Fernando Tatis, Jeff Kunkel, Jack Daugherty, Will Clark, Bobby Witt, Kenny Rogers, Ruben Sierra, Pete Incaviglia...

As Nadel referenced, I do feel like I’m dreaming.

I spent more summer evenings in Arlington than I can recount. From the time we moved to Dallas in 1986 until my dad died four years ago, he had season tickets.

He would’ve really enjoyed this night.

great list.  All the names come flooding back.   Heck, I’m now remembering old D/FW Spurs minor league baseball team members now.

The curse in NE Arlington is gone.

Listen... I'm a Longhorn fan through and through. My dad was James Street's RA in college. But I grew up in the sticks of NE Texas. We had 2 channels. I got to see maybe 2 UT football games a year. The earliest UT game I can remember watching was the Stoney Clark OU game. By that time I had attended no less than 10 Ranger games which was a big deal for a kid who lived 2 hours from Dallas.

This was my first team. 2011 tore me in half.

I’ll never get over ‘11. This is a start. We should be in the mix for the foreseeable future pending Max and deGrom age/health. I know CY will be doing work trying to improve pitching. I would be surprised if we don’t add more big names. I know Kershaw is a guy possibly in play.

I grew up in Waco and we didn't have cable.  We had an antenna on the roof and there was a TV on a dresser in my parents bedroom that also had a small antenna on it.  So if the wind was just right I could get Rangers games on Channel 11 I think. That was one of the 5 channels we got.  I remember sitting on the floor in that room watching Geno Petralli, Charlie Hough, Boo, Scott Fletcher, Pete Incaviglia, Ruben Sierra etc. Im thinking about those days tonight

I'm absolutely over it now. This is redemption. This is like the Mavs blowing 2006 and coming back to win in 2011. Fuck 2011 now. The game 6 blunder means zero now. I can now be peace with it as a fan

Since we're sharing anecdotes.

Baseball wasn't a part of my life growing up. I was raised in the shadow of DKR Memorial with some flashes of Texas basketball here and there. That's really all I knew. I was a quiet, unathletic kid growing up. Unless it was Texas football or basketball I really didn't care. For a long time.

Then I got taller. I started playing pretty good basketball. I spent more time on the internet. I watched the Rangers make the WS in 2010 and kind of got into it. Then I watched them make it again in 2011 and had my heart ripped out with the rest of you.

Then I went to school in Dallas and lived there from 2013 - 2019 and fell in love with the game through the Texas Rangers. I listened to Beltre's 3000th hit on the radio. I watched that fuckhead Bautista flip his bat in 2015 or 16? from a bar near SMU. And I just kept following them and loving them.

A lot of you - if not most of you - deserve this more than I do. My journey hasn't been nearly as long. I haven't experienced nearly as much pain.

But this is my fucking team. It always has been and always will be. I fucking love them like I love Texas. Dare I say I love them like I love the Spurs.

God FUCKING DAMN WE JUST WON THE FUCKING WORLD SERIES

That's a hard pass on Kershaw.

Best thing I ever saw in person was Nolan’s 5,000th strikeout. That’s all we had to celebrate back then. Individual accomplishments. But not today brother.

LOL just interviewed the D-Backs manager.

"They didn't win it by a lot"

Dude we fucked your shit up. You got ran out of the fucking series. Give us the Phillies next time we'll give FOX some better ratings.

Keep bunting guys with 0 outs in the 3rd inning.

What time does The Dallas Morning News get delivered to gas stations? Midnight? I'm gonna go grab me a few like it's 1995 and the Cowboys just won the Super Bowl.

It won’t be in the paper till Friday…..sorry.
