Turns out he was giving Charlie way too much credit. RIP my man.

I owe the man a huge apology, personally. You were right, Red.

Does this mean our athletic department can at least attempt to operate logically now?

Hopefully........I mean, God forbid any modern-day Business School Graduates get the wrong idea of leveraging a job selling cars into founding what became an auto dealership empire that facilitated the ownership of two professional sports franchises which in turn facilitated the donation of millions upon millions to both the Academic and Athletic operations of the school from which they graduate.  I mean, that would be silly....

My objection was the sort of "me too" trend of naming the business school, ala Wharton.  it was secondary that the namesake was a car dealer.

RIP Red, fortunate enough to have met him back in the old days in San Antonio. I tell you, that man could sell ice to an Eskimo and convince them to buy a limited warranty.

95 years old. Ol' Red made it to the end of the roll of toilet paper of life. He should have no complaints.

CHIEF

If he has complaints, he can share them with Charline.
