And just think - Gary Danielson will not be on ANY SEC games, zero zilch nada!

I expect The University will have more games in the Top 40 than aggy by season's end.

Who is ABC/ESPN's top CFB announcing team, anyway?

Fowler/Herbstreit

They’re okay but Fowler yells too much when he gets amped up.  They’re like watching with your drunk buddies in the basement TV room of a freshman dorm.

And ABC/ESPN misses several plays each game interrupting live action with graphics and game summaries.  I don’t know if any other network does any better.  I thought Klatt and whoever else did the Bama/Texas in Austin were very good.

Two Georgia Players Arrested for Reckless Driving

On Thursday morning, it was announced that two Georgia football players were arrested for reckless driving, one of which was also charged with racing, first reported by UGAsports.com. Offensive lineman Bo Hughley was involved in a single-car accident and the incident included failure to maintain lane and reckless driving. Linebacker Smael Mondon was also charged with reckless driving and racing. The two incidents were not connected and were separate.

Didn’t someone die associated with the program from racing/speeding etc already?

Sounds like whatever coaching the GA staff did around this didn’t stick.

Any hookers/athletic staff babe “escorts” on board, living or deceased?  Either esy, this is standard off season adventures for UGA football.  Meanwhile, on South Beach, Nick is checking his brokerage account statement between golf games.  I look forward to hearing him go off when he starts ranting on Gameday.

Yeah... they don't care in Athens. They just got Etienne off.

Instead of an underage DUI, they gave him all of the pieces separately so they could minimize the punishment to probation and community service.

- Driving with alcohol
- Failure to maintain a lane
- Going 80 in a 50
- Reckless driving

They determined that there wasn't enough evidence besides the drinking and the driving and having the alcohol on his person since they never gave him a test.

Queue Stoops sucking that SEC dick gifs……

Is ThuJone even still alive?  If so, someone hook him up to an I/V of something real good and ask him to crank the MS paint back up.  His bizarro Chizik is still one the best things I’ve ever seen.  Pimp Horn Daddy at the Rose Bowl and any aggy furk overalls boy are right up there too.

You're welcome for playing you aggy.  Now you've got a Top 10 matchup.  And, LOL, aggy playing Notre Dame at home and still seeing Texas with 4 more "watchable" games.

The only people that watch the Egg Bowl, were those that watched it because nothing else was on, like me. Now that the NFL is encroaching into that window too - the Egg Bowl will die off, except for those MS fans, which is one of the least populous states.

Hook’em!!!

Well what Saban is saying and what others are saying about Texas "running the SEC" are two different things. The people saying we always ran the Big 12 means we always got our way on things and that won't happen in the SEC. Saban is saying we aren't going to be the fearsome team people think we are in the SEC. We'll be one of many scary teams but we're not the top dog.

In other news, FSU Is not getting an invite which is fine by me.

Horns better do something big, soon, or FSU will steal our Destroyer of Conferences title.

The irony is pretty amusing given the Big 10 and SEC are the ones who destroyed the Pac 12 and yet FSU is the "disruptive partner".

Yup.  B10 greed has initiated every round of conference expansion since 1990, and yet Texas (or FSU) is somehow responsible.

People are dumb, news at 11.

The SEC didn't touch the Pac 12.

True but adding Texas and OU caused the Big 10 to want to answer with USC and UCLA. Then the Big 12 wanted Utah, Colorado, Arizona, and Arizona State.

My only problem with that list is Brian Kelly has never won a single conference or national championship…so it’s weird to have him in that category.

i know i’m late to this thread, but this isn’t quite true.  he’s won a MAC championship and 2 Big East championships at the D1 level, plenty more coaching D2.

can’t really factor in his time at ND given they’re not in a conference but he did have them in the NC game at 12-0 where they were fuckstomped by Bama.

he’s had success; and coming off 2 10 win seasons with rosters full of holes  (he took the job in 2022 when we had only 39 players on scholarship), i’m cautiously optimistic this year…better depth, great OL, nice stable of rbs, and plug and play at the WR (no, we won’t fully replace Nabors or BTJ but we’ll be way better than serviceable).  Nuss will do better than expected.

it’ll come down to our D and how Baker can scheme around the holes.  were we to hold folks to a 25 ppg avg, we’ll have a good year.

we’ll see…

98% of everything put out by the media and other fanbases with regards to the Horns down thing is complete bullshit.

When I last officiated TXHSFB by NCAA rules, the book identified acts as "unsportsmanlike" including the throat slash. If those are considered "taunting", how is horns down not? It has nothing to do with being soft. Here's the first 3 acts from this year's 2024 NCAA Football Rules Book verbatim.

Unsportsmanlike Acts

ARTICLE 1. There shall be no unsportsmanlike conduct or any act that interferes with orderly game administration on the part of players, substitutes, coaches, authorized attendants or any other persons subject to the rules, before the game, during the game or between periods. Infractions for these acts by players are administered as either live-ball or dead-ball fouls depending on when they occur. (A.R. 9-2-1-I-X) a. Specifically prohibited acts and conduct include: 1. No player, substitute, coach or other person subject to the rules shall use abusive, threatening or obscene language or gestures, or engage in such acts that provoke ill will or are demeaning to an opponent, to game officials or to the image of the game, including but not limited to:

(a) Pointing the finger(s), hand(s), arm(s) or ball at an opponent, or imitating the slashing of the throat.

(b) Taunting, baiting or ridiculing an opponent verbally.

(c) Inciting an opponent or spectators in any other way, such as simulating the firing of a weapon or placing a hand by the ear to request recognition.
