Hard to get upset with Tucker since he's the only consistent bat in the lineup, but would have been nice to see him come through there.

Kind of like Mack complaining about Muschamp's D not scoring enough.  It would have been nice though.

I think the Astros should fire Dusty and give sabermetrics a real run for its money by replacing him with a trained AI. Partner with OpenAI to make a baseball AI called BatGPT that's sole function is to be the best team manager in history. Baseball is an easy sport to learn and can be managed mostly from stats, so it's a perfect opportunity to give it a shot.

Supercomputer and Skipper "AI Hunch" will set lineups and manage the team going forward. It will be an iPad attached to a robot Segway that has speakers and a virtual human form that can talk to players and give speeches. It will also wear an Astros hat and uniform to humanize it. Train it to pull quotes and speeches from famous sports movies, TV shows and YouTube clips of famous sports guys and you got yourself quite a commanding presence in the dugout.  Sure it's a radical approach to the game, but just think about what it could do and the amount of money you could save on manager costs!  Even if it fails, it will still get a ton of attention from fans, piss off the old guard idiots that keep guys like Bonds out of the HoF, and it will distract us from the mediocrity of this team! You could even sell AI Hunch jerseys for money so it pays for itself!!! It's a win win win!

Keep winning series!

It would have sucked to have the Rangers lose 2 out of 3 this weekend and not pick up a game with us playing the A's.

This is for all the people that want Abreu to close

I just looked it up to see how he's done in save situations this year. He has the same amount of blown saves as Pressly. Good job today though.

When you score just 10 runs in a series and have a depleted pitching staff, even against the A's you're pretty fortunate to win two of three. Get to the airport.

3 of 4 but your main point is still valid.
6-3 road trip works

Yep. Totally forgot about Thursday (and too lazy to look it up, as usual). Just glad to eke out a win today.

This is the greatest idea in the history of ideas. We should definitely do this.
I mean, I’d be fine (probably) with the AI calling the shots on who plays where and lineup decisions, certainly over Dusty doing it,  it I don’t know that you’d have to go to the robot with an Astros hat giving speeches but it is a nice touch. Baseball is easy enough and slow enough to definitely use AI as a starting point in lineup construction though for sure, and probably could dictate some in game decisions as well.
