Give him some position to maybe save a little face as a special advisor, sr consultant or assistance to Jim C.

This is a terrible terrible terrible idea.

like maybe the one job that would be worse for the future success of this franchise than the one he currently holds

I didn't say anyone had to take him seriously.

Chandler Rome does occasionally but he's Chandler Rome so it never gets any traction

Well when he bitches about everything nobody cares when he bitches about something important. Like the boy who cried wolf.

I think it’s pretty clear that we are going to need to spend some money in the off-season.

Sign Pina Jr and fucking shoot Dusty into the abyss of woe

No one has done less with more than Dusty Baker.

His stubbornness has cost multiple championships for many deserving teams.

One man’s arrogance has cost so many teams a championship.

I mean, it’s actuLly amazing in retrospect

That’s the danger. It’s the we need to spend vs the guys we have need to preform. Which risk you going with?

Yeah, but the good news is that we consistently do.

Next season is about Hunter Brown becoming a top 3 starter, somebody other than Maldy becoming the everyday catcher, adding a bat somewhere else, and getting a good Major League manager.

All of that is doable, and if we stay healthy, we can go right back into the 100-win club.

I'm not really a Dusty guy, but I'm thinking some part of baseball has passed him by.   Got to be a better option.  Give him some position to maybe save a little face as a special advisor, sr consultant or assistance to Jim C.

This is the dumbest idea I have ever heard. May God have mercy on your soul. MMP needs to be cleansed. Pack his shit up and send him out the door tomorrow morning.

We probably won't because we don't really need to.

We need a new manager.

We need a legit CF... unless we have someone in the minors who is ready. Other than that I'd be fine keeping this team intact with a new manager.

I still think he has done a lot for the pitching staff off the field.

I could not possibly disagree more. I think he’s a selfish asshole and a malcontent who 29 teams rightfully believe is completely and totally unplayable (along with many in our FO) but maybe I’m the idoit.

That’s the problem. Crane doesn’t like to spend money. And we don’t give lengthy contracts.

But can we get a new stadium built by next year

He did try to sign Starling Marte and Liam Hendricks iirc

Or play the legit CF we have.

Is Dusty playing 9D chess? This could be the greatest  Rope a Dope in the history of MLB. Clubber Garcia is tiring himself out hitting all those bombs, no way he has the strength to hit another, and that’s when we counter.

Before then. He literally hit prime Barry bonds 5th for all of 1993 when the giants lost the division by 1 game.

Reminds me of hitting Yordan and Tucker 3rd/5th all damn year

Jesus Christ watching Bochy lay out the blueprint for Hinch in the 2014 World Series only to have that cock smoker clutch pearls and fuck it up to turn around and have him repeat the process against Dustard is just amazing.

Astros have 4-5 guys that actually look like they give a fuck (Alvarez, Altuve, Bregman, Abreu, and Chas). Tucker looks like he'd rather be anywhere but here.

As long as he's their manager, they will be the favorite to win this division.

Crane is fine spending money.   He’s not fine with spending dumb money on long contracts.

They have a top 10 (or better) CF already. It’s just the manager would rather give equal playing time to a utility infielder there.

There will be a long line of suitors. We should absolutely re-sign him. He's sucked this post season, but that's an anomaly

If your dick curls up when it really matters…are you really worth a fuck?
