Does this make sense to anyone else?

It means when you come in for the 8th and do your job and then someone else comes in for the 9th, you don't get a save.  If you give up the lead in the 8th you still get a blown save even though you were never going to get a save.

Thanks for the explanation!

This is the kind of logic that leads to signing Carlos Lee.

Counterpoint: Forrest Whitley could have been traded for a box of gold bond powder and the Astros would've won that trade.

All this Korey Lee talk is totally fucking asinine and you are all massively wrong about his future value or Graveman's current value to this team.

Fuckin A, this is a winner trade.

Yeah, well, 0-1 without Johnny Bench 2.0, aka Korey Lee, in our minor league system

Also 0-2 without Madris.  Send down Chas, and let's all get Bligh.

People bitching about Korey Lee are the same jackasses who don't want Bellinger here because of the shit he said after 2017.

I don’t want Bellinger.  Not for what he said, but because of all the post-season Ks.

Yeah I don't want Bellinger for the giant hole in his swing and inability to lay off back foot breaking balls.  And then the hypocrisy.

I’d gladly take Bellinger if he can continue with the production he’s had so far this year. He’s been one of the best in the league. He’s slashing .319/.369/.546

As long as he’s a locker room fit, but no way he have enough talent for that trade

Talking about JV.

(NTC = no trade clause)

Because the Mets want out of his contract and would be willing to take less in prospect capital if they can foist it on someone else? They may be able to get a better deal from the Dodgers, but the Astros could pull it off if they want JV badly enough.

If Crane really is willing to spend to win, he should tell the Mets don't worry about covering JV's salary.  That's how we can complete the trade with a lesser farm system.  Hey, he already didn't have to pay for more than half of one of the seasons.

Everything I have heard from the Mets is they are going to pay down contract for better prospects. We shall see.
I can’t imagine him going to Cincy.

That would be smart on their end. They’re in a position to pay for better prospects. If that’s the case, it’ll be interesting to see what teams are willing to give and exactly how much the Mets would pay.

Don’t you know it’s a law punishable by death if you bat two lefties back to back.  Dusty does.

So stupid.  Even if you insist on separating them, they should be 2nd and 4th
