Back to 2 of our 3 worst hitters batting 1-2

Wait, with Julks playing, call it 2 of our worst 4.  Whatever.

I took the boy to Chicago to see Wrigley and he was the most excited about Mancini (because Astros) .. We watched the replay of the catch he made off the Schwarber.... We talked about what a great guy he was an all that.. Crazy to think we may have been in person for his last MLB game..

Stros should bring Mancini home on a AAA deal and try to replace Julks at DH

I think that the Rangers will be mentally broken once the Astros take over 1st place. Young teams if limited playoff experience usually don't react well when veteran teams finally chase them down and overtake them.

Rangers are losing players, while the Astros are getting our guys back.

That’s been this whole season. Yeah Texas lost DeGrom but the Astros have been relatively decimated by injuries, while the Rangers have overachieved like mofos to the tone of a half game lead in the AL West.  In the past week, we got both the heart& soul and mountain of muscle back, as well as a proven arm.

Regardless of Texas fear or not, Astros about to administer a good old fashioned ass-whipping.

Last 7 gms Pena is slashing .370/.452./.481 (.933 OPS), 10-for-27 with 4 walks, 6 strikeouts, and 5 RBI.

Amazing what hitting #2 does for his production.

I love the swagger and if any fanbase deserves to flip bats it's us, but some of y'all aren't giving the Rangers enough credit imo. That lineup is stacked and they just addressed their glaring team weaknesses so it's going to be a dogfight for the division title. They aren't fading away. The Astros need to put together a long 10 gm winning streak like they have in past seasons.

Stupid question immunity. On that play, once Abreu steps on 1st, could the baserunner then return to the bag as there is no longer a force?

Abreu at first is gonna less than ideal in the playoffs.  He almost never makes the hard plays.

Bring back Mancini?

his batting average will make maldy look good

Was just thinking the same thing.  Bielak sprinkles in the occasional good game at least.

3 out of the last 6 starts for Blanco were quality starts.

Blanco is coming off a 9 strikeout game. He can be a valuable arm for the playoffs

In the bullpen where he can compete with Stanek to see who can walk more guys in mop up duty.  He's not a starter on this team.
