Hopefully our manager uses the players most likely to produce clutch hits.

By the numbers or instinct ?

id let Chas do or die last night, regardless of the numbers

😂😂😂😂

This post presupposes those two statements are mutually exclusive, which with Dusty, somehow are not.

If there are numbers that say Jon Singleton is more likely to produce a clutch hit than Chas McCormick, I'd like to see them.

Mae need a surly poster in the analytics group !!

ld guess, they have a chart of all our hitters vs the opposing staff, and all their hitters vs out hitters. Updated, every series, with some deeper numbers

The radio pre game has much more substance than the broadcast, they’ve talked about match ups vs specific pitchers, through out the season.

that L sucked, maybe we find some clutch hits today
Or maybe yalls boy Dubon won't fuck up in the field and put us in the position of having dipshit old man make decisions

The epitaph for this team if it misses the playoffs it going to be “pinch-hit for the 3rd highest OPS on the team with Jon Singleton”

Nah, it's going to be started the worst player in the majors over a top 5 catcher in baseball.

Dubon had a fucking .701 OPS in the 1st half. He likely wasn't even in the top 5 most important Astros in the 1st half of the season.

His abject refusal to listen to or pay attention to any of the numbers that matter in baseball is truly astounding.

This. Looking at Singletons splits, there isn't anything that is .275 average against righties. I don't know how anyone can get to that number on him vs Holmes. Chas beats him on OPS vs righties and at home. Just a weird choice to sub him for Chas, seems personal against Chas.

Just think how fucking stupid you have to be to bench two of your top 4 hitters in the middle of the playoffs push when you are barely in the fucking playoffs.

This team deserves to miss the playoffs. We don’t play our best players. It’s fucking absurd. Makes it difficult to care when the club acts like it actively prefers not to win games.

Are you trying to be ironic?

Also, anyone with a brain should realize that we got the best out of Dubon and Maton months ago and playing them is malpractice because they are in the shittastic phase of reverting to the mean.

I really wish ESPN or MLB would allow for regional broadcasts during these games.

I’ve got ford/sparks on audio overlay on mlb.tv but radio is a second ahead which is frustrating

You're not enjoying the Yankees lovefest?
