Very quickly America's intelligence won't be worth a shit anyway if Gabbard is head of it. Our assets in harms way are already preparing to bail and flee, our "allies" are going to very quickly pivot to giving the US false Intel to protect their own assets, and eventually trump will be given false information anyway as all dictators are lied to constantly.
It's what is causing Putin's downfall in Ukraine to this point. He had bad intel on his country's military capabilities after 2 decades of oligarchs corruption had depleted it.

All true.

The court, however, did not agree to the former president’s “extreme” argument to dismiss the case altogether, potentially leaving the case up to another prosecutor.

Yeah, I’m sure someone else wants to pick up that baton and get harassed and threatened for the rest of their careers. God dammit.

I’ll just file that bookmark in my “Removal of Fani Willis” subfolder that I created over a year ago.

No worries!

Twice Horn will soon arrive to tell us the US legal system is still working fine ... it just moves slowly ... because of all the rules and procedures in place ... to see that justice is served.

Willis is a dumbass of epic proportions.  I don't think this is the "globally correct" outcome, but when you're doing the highest profile possible prosecution, which you seem to realize by empaneling a special grand jury before trying to indict and by indicting a sprawling RICO case, you do not, under any circumstances, optionally employ someone on the case with whom you have an ethically questionable relationship.

Nor do you host a political fundraiser against a target of your investigation.

And, it don't make a shit, because none of this was getting to trial even without this self-inflicted headshot.

So? I am not defending Willis.

If the "legal system" is so great and methodical... then it should have produced someone .... who knows what the fuck they are doing to prosecute Trump for Jan. 6 and try to steal votes in Georgia.

Apparently, the system is so fucked up with idiots (Willis), incompetents (Garland, et al), and slow pokes (Jack Smith), that it cannot function properly to safeguard democracy -- WHEN TRUMP IS RECORDED TRYING TO STEAL VOTES.

The legal system and the people in it must be fucked up ... since a fascist insurrectionist-election stealer-state secrets stealer is about to take office.

Yeah, the 29% of adults who voted for Trump are too blame, too.

But Trump should have been on the ballot. He should have been in been in jail.

The legal system and the people in it failed.

This should be a mic drop.  Instead, @TwiceHorn and others will find ways to dismiss it and hope against hope that the “system” will save us all. While we all slowly burn like Arnold drowning in the Liquid Metal in T2

I have admitted that the legal system failed to deal with Trump, because it is slow.  And one of the reasons it is slow is because it contains a lot of rules and procedures that favor the individual citizen in the face of the government.

There are also aspects of it that are influenced heavily by electoral and legislative politics:  namely its underfunding, generally, and Congress' unwillingness to enact laws that effectively enforce political and official ethics.  And, of course, the pardon and clemency powers granted to state and the federal executive.

It is also full of glory-seeking prosecutors who can't get out of their own way, or, if they can, commit grave injustices in the name of "wins" or "tough on crime."  Or some other personal aggrandizement.

I'm not looking for "mic drops" and never have.

I basically address misinformation about the legal system. The irrationals believe that's some kind of defense or normalization of fascism.  I get that the frustration leads to that conclusion, but if you look at what I say in a clear-eyed fashion, you understand that it is not.  Quite the opposite, actually, because if you change a legal system from its normal operation to contend with what seems to be a dire threat, you have a legal system that is perfect for fascists who get to determine what is a dire threat.  This will be exemplified by the attempted lawfare coming from the Trump administration.

I've never said it was great and wonderful.  It's full of flaws that have been discussed ad nauseam.  Much like the entire American experiment, it's a piece of shit.  Until you compare it to all the others.

I do think that, given time to operate to its conclusions, uninterrupted by the foul desires of the US electorate, Trump would be multiply convicted and likely in prison.

I am also hopeful that the built-in protections for defendants will mean Trumplawfare fails.  But if it doesn't, because Trumpco manipulated the system, then you'll all get what you wanted:  a system where the ends justify the means.  You'll just get it in the wrong direction.

Wasn't going to trial because the cocksucker got elected again or did you see this not going to trial in any circumstance (forgetting Willis' mistake/s)?

(BTW, so she was fucking one of the assistant DA's. She eliminated him from the case. That should be the end of it IMO. It does NOT change the material facts about the case.)

Just Example 5 jillion that if you have the means/money, you can almost always beat the system. Pay to play, motherfuckers. Pay to play!

Not going to trial notwithstanding the problem Willis created for herself.

She did a sweeping RICO case against Young Thug that turned into a disaster.  https://apnews.com/article/young-thug-trial-probation-guilty-plea-0f52263908d42e0f488b78c0641ecfa4

Ten months of jury selection. 27 original defendants, six went to trial, Young Thug finally pled guilty and got time served.  It did take "only" 2.5 years from arrest to plea, but Willis indicted Trump in August 2023, so guess where that gets us.  And more defendants and more of them likely to defend vigorously than a bunch of rappers.

Nor do you so obviously commit perjury when you testify about that questionably ethical relationship. While wearing your dress backwards like a regard.

It has been entertaining.  Always keep ‘em laughing.

You know damn well this result, like all of them, had no bearing on the underlying merits of the case or even the prosecutorial discretion in bringing them.

Fani Willis is a dumbass and OLC 24-0222 is what it is.
