The runner had the base path the ball was caught then he was tagged. Borderline collision which might be the argument.  But the runner had it, then the second baseman caught and tagged and collided.

Yeah, that is a fucking crazy interpretation of events there. He caught the ball, then collision. That's interference on the runner if anything.

It's pretty simple, AFAIK.  The fielder cannot make contact with the baserunner while going to make a play on the ball.  But once the fielder has the ball, there is no interference.  Otherwise, the baserunner would win every rundown in history.

I can understand the coach saying something. That’s always going to happen when they change the call. I’m not sure why he was that heated. Also not sure how the umpires could fuck that up originally. It wasn’t a difficult play to call

I don’t understand how they ever had the guy safe at 1st. Made no sense
