Oh it happened. Who gives a shit if the ratings sucked...well I guess Astros fans do.

Ratings usually tend to dip after cheating scandals that go unpunished. Wonder who could have caused that?

We are most certainly here to stay. Jung ROTY if he doesn’t miss 37 games. Evan Carter speaks for himself. Monty will get a Brinks truck. Seager, Semien, and Adolis will piss you off until they retire. Oh, Wyatt Langford. Lol fuck Houston.

Pretty sure Evan Carter is still eligible to win AL Rookie of the Year in 2024

feels good to even the championship score with the astros.  the west will be great going forward to see who can pull ahead in the coming years.

1 to 1 baby! Let's see which franchise can get to 2 legit titles first.

Those are some seriously pathetic sour grapes.

He got shut down pretty quickly within the thread.  For the most part, we've given our grudging respect to the Rangers for the WS win.

Yeah, I'm honestly having a difficult time understanding how the Braves and Dodgers opened as favorites next year.

Because they were a lot better this year?

They were a lot better this year because of Rangers injuries. You can make an argument the Rangers had the worst injury luck in the MLB.

Considering rosters and manager, I definitely wouldn’t have the Dodgers as favorites over the Rangers next year. Probably a couple other teams too (Astros). The ESPN power rankings have it as Braves 1 and Rangers 2 then the Dodgers much lower. That at least makes some sense but think I would have the Rangers #1 considering what they potentially return and Bochy.

Just like some dork fans saying there’s an asterisk when the record books have no asterisk. So suck a dick pussies. Asterisks hahahahaha.

Congrats to the city of Arlington.

It's nice to see all of the Rangers fans come out of hiding after 6 years to make this thread fun and relevant again, can't wait until next season.

Not sure how this is the same at all. aggy created a slogan with no merit behind it. Texas Rangers are the best team in Texas right now.

I know it's Astros / Rangers up in here but speaking of Dodgers, they are whimpering a bit having to watch Seager and Sborz play massive roles in this World Series win.

The Dodgers traded Sborz in 2021 after being DFA'ed when they signed Trevor Bauer.

AL West will be damn fun again next year. Only scary thing is the Rangers could potentially be a lot better if they stay healthy.

The Astros had no significant injuries in 2023…

And on the topic of “Rangers aren’t our rivals” and other disassociation coping mechanisms that folks like WBT employ to console themselves watching the Rangers bask in glory, if I was an Astros fan my perspective would be the Astros better treat the Rangers as rival numero uno.

If the Astros aren’t festering and eaten up by being absolutely embarrassed at home by Garcia and co. and letting that inspire and fuel them to play with more pride and urgency (e.g. Tucker, Peña, Dubon, etc) and continue to lean on Altuve, Yordan and “we are Houston”, they will be in for a rough go of it again next year. Especially breaking in a new manager; a new manager that ain’t gonna be a future HOFer and turnkey great like Bochy was this year.

So yea, don’t approach us next year with the hatred and chippiness reserved for a rival, that will be fun for us to watch.

Since 2015, both teams are now actually good at the same time. Both teams blew ALDS leads that year. Came very close to Texas playing Houston in the ALCS that year. Houston missed the playoffs in 2016 and after that season, Texas was trending down and down while Houston was beginning its run. It should be a fun ride the next few years. Texas looks to be building something really good and Houston is already established. This thread really had no impact for years because Texas was terrible. While Houston was winning a ton. Not exactly anything Texas fans could even do.

But now, it's game on. And the 2024 thread should be glorious. Texas is now the team to beat in the AL.

It’s gotta sting for the Arlington Rangers organization that  they had to suck balls for their entire existence just to end up with half as many championships as the Houston Astros.

It should sting Houston fans that we won ours without cheating, but Astros fans have no scruples or ethics and embrace a win at all cost except at home in front of the fat and ugly fans mentality.
