He's just not good enough to start Saturday games.

Yep. This is a Saturday recurrence. Pierce has a very good middle reliever/closer masquerading as a starting pitcher. There is a reason his average IP is a little over four. Sthele isn't a bad pitcher; he's just in a bad role for his game.

What other good options does he have? We find ourselves in the same boat with LBJ. Typically is a 4-5 inning guy who struggles with control and can lose it quickly.

I'd probably go with Hurley, who has a track record of starting and going more than 4 innings. Sthele/LBJ tandem on Sunday, perhaps.

Great ABs by the last 3 guys

This team is horribly coached and just doesn't have the talent to win games. The players are stupid and what a pathetic display of baseball so far. There's no way we're winning anything.

Sound about right?

missing sweeps against Kansas, Kansas State, and West Virginia. Locked up conference after 2 series

Texas lacks any SP depth without Witt. You're definitely correct that options are limited.

It it were me, I'd go LG, Hurley, and LBJ.

Yep; this is my thinking.

1-5 is pretty damn salty. Just need to find 1 more guy at the bottom of the order.

Could be Galvan, based on his OPS so far. Definitely needs to DH against lefties.

He’s a middle reliever. Period

LBJ and Hurley are significant starter upgrades.
