So, the chef owner of the Hightower has moved to my neighborhood (Oak Cliff in Dallas) and is opening a place here.  I have never been to the place in Austin.  What should we expect?  It seems highly regarded.

I'm surprised that place is still open. I never hear anyone talk about it and it never looks busy. The one meal I had there a few years back on my birthday included one of the worst executed pork belly dishes I've ever had. I should have sent it back but I just choked it down and chalked it up to mistake on my part for ordering it.

the worst ceviche I've ever had was at that their place in East Austin, and I've eaten raw squid in an underground Costa Rican casino.  I deserve it for drunkenly ordering ceviche from hipsters who barely care about napkins, let alone raw fucking seafood.  The attitude on top of it just really made for a lovely evening of vomiting.  It's a cool spot with an ambitious idea that hipsters with sleeve tats don't have to just limit themselves to sausage making, craft brewing, or leather goods.  But they fucking failed the couple times I've been in there (as stated above).
