Ok I’m not a Bernie bro but this is some good ass shit

I agree.

With regards to Zuck and Pete, is Pete being manipulated or is this a mutual thing? I have not and will never trust Zuckerberg. He apologizes without sincerity, he has no ethics and as far as I can tell has no conscience.

Imagine supporting this guy and not having at least a seven figure net worth lmao.

LMAO. Here are the numbers for donations from the healthcare sector.

Trump: 1.4 million

Buttigieg: $548k

Harris: $517k

Biden: $462k

Bernie: $360k

Warren: $344k

Oh my GOSH, Pete has taken in 188k more than Bernie and 204k more than Warren!  GOT'EM.

You'd think someone like Fozzz who proudly supports Tulsi Gabbard wouldn't fall so easily for this conspiratorial bullshit.

Why don't you just support Joe Biden?  There is exceptionally little difference in their politics, Joe is far more charming than Mayor Pete and has a much better chance to win.

Are you implying that Pete has changed his stance on healthcare?

In 2004 he allegedly supported single payer, which he clearly does not at this point and instead favors the same bullshit Joe favors - the status quo with a weak public option.

Wanting single payer to be the end goal and proposing a plan to get there are two completely different things. It's interesting that people think Pete is the only that has discussed Medicare For All ambiguously over the years.

Also your favorite candidate, Tulsi Gabbard, who co-sponsored Bernie's M4A bill in the House in 2017, came out with her own healthcare plan. Medicare Choice.

The status quo plus a public option is not a step towards single payer healthcare, and will only serve to further entrench our system of private health insurance.  Moreover, the failure of a public option plan plan to provide full coverage and to lower costs will only provide additional ammunition to the health insurance industry and those in its pay when it argues that what America actually needs is a more unrestricted market and more options, not big gubnit running your healthcare.  You have to be a total fucking rube not to see this.

So have you disqualified Tulsi?

Bernie Sanders is the only candidate that will fight for Medicare For All. Period.

Booker, Harris, Warren, and Tulsi all co-sponsored his M4A bill two years ago. 3 of them have pivoted and we're waiting on Warren's plan.

I like Tulsi a lot, particularly her fearlessness on foreign policy and the fact that shitlibs can't stand her, but Bernie is clearly the best candidate in the field.

Look, I think we can all agree that Bernie cares the most about the poor, has the largest on-the-ground organizing power and movement, and is the most trustworthy to actually fight for the poor and working classes once he is in power.

Let's start with our similarities as common ground, and that common ground is an acknowledgement that Bernie rules.

As a Beto supporter, the crying from Pete stans about unfair media treatment and clickbait headlines and disingenuous stories makes me fucking cackle.

Pete has been deified by the media for the most part. Joe and Mika practically fellate him every single morning.

Now he’s getting a little roughed up and now y’all wanna talk about media surrogate bullshittery.

Welcome to the party, pal.

Yes, TV media has been friendly to Pete because he literally says yes to almost every interview request. Beto could have had just as much TV time if he wanted it.

Print/internet/social media has been a different story. Lots of Pete haters. That's okay though. At least he knows how to battle through it instead of making excuses.

i think there's a difference between crying about unfair media treatment and clarifying clickbait headlines for people too lazy to watch full interview statements and read full excerpts.

my way of "crying" or complaining when i see an potentially misleading twitter headline (designed typically to promote clicks for that person's content) is to actually become more informed about what was said.  when it happens to "someone else's candidate" the tendency is to agree with it and spread it around.  that's just where we are right now.

maybe i'm missing a large sector of crybabies because i'm not on twitter.

So does she plan on breaking up Facebook into regional companies?  Because that kinda works against the whole premise of FB.

And she can destroy FB, and somebody else will just come up with something that's just as big, and probably more refined and equipped to handle fending off Washington.

I like some of her positions, but she needs to tackle FB from another angle.  Work on the advertising and bots, because that's where the real problem is.

Perhaps read her plan?

I did, and it's almost like she's an old that doesn't understand what Instagram and WhatsApp do, and who their audiences are.  Splitting off Instagram and WhatsApp won't do shit to address the problems she's bitching about, particularly in regards to the issues that came up in 2016.  She needs to worry more about bots and advertising.

Publicly bitching about the problems is part of the solution by building a movement in the private sector for change. This is often how the republicans operate, some call it “working the refs.”  It can be effective.

Facebook’s threat is the total control of the social media information space on a global level.  Breaking off Instagram and WhatsApp decentralizes that somewhat.  She acknowledges her plan isn’t some magic bullet to solve all the problems of big tech.

She ends her plan with this:

So what would the Internet look like after all these reforms?

Here’s what won’t change: You’ll still be able to go on Google and search like you do today. You’ll still be able to go on Amazon and find 30 different coffee machines that you can get delivered to your house in two days. You’ll still be able to go on Facebook and see how your old friend from school is doing.

Here’s what will change: Small businesses would have a fair shot to sell their products on Amazon without the fear of Amazon pushing them out of business. Google couldn’t smother competitors by demoting their products on Google Search. Facebook would face real pressure from Instagram and WhatsApp to improve the user experience and protect our privacy. Tech entrepreneurs would have a fighting chance to compete against the tech giants.

Of course, my proposals today won’t solve every problem we have with our big tech companies.

We must give people more control over how their personal information is collected, shared, and sold — and do it in a way that doesn’t lock in massive competitive advantages for the companies that already have a ton of our data.

I bet the New York Times and Wall Street Journal both have as much influence on Washington as Facebook does.

I think Facebook should be broken up by race. And then each group can give out tokens (get it?) to people of another race to visit.  I'd save up my tokens so I can go see what the white women are doing now and again.
