I will vote for whichever candidate enters the convention with the plurality of pledged delegates. I will vote for the choice of the people in the Democratic primary process.

Bernie->Trump: 8-12%
Hillary -> McCain: 17-25%

Great. You want to lose the general election.

If the nominee coming out of the primary is different from the plurality winner going into the primary, the general election is lost and likely the party itself dies.

I was responding to the Tweet Js1 posted, honeybunch. You and I posted at the same time.

So we have a figurehead who is constantly attacking (Hillary) and supporters that do the same (#StillWithHer).
And a figurehead who never attacks (Bernie) and supporters who do (Bros).

The distinction between active and retired is irrelevent if the retired person is constantly seeking the public spotlight to continue acting like a politician in a race. We're not talking about W, who makes it a point to not stick his nose in. Hillary is an active personality in politics even if she isn't running for an office. It's an asinine distinction.

But this idea of winning people over or losing people should reflect in some way, shouldn't it? Because all we see in this thread whining about Bernie Bros is the same fucking people who always whine about Bernie Bros. You guys are not going to be "won over", so all this "be nice to me or you won't win me over" is disingenuous horseshit.

Bernie is my # 2 candidate. If Pete drops out before the Texas primary, I'm voting for Bernie (again).

I can still be frustrated with the mob mentality of his supporters and the people he surrounds himself with.

Has Bernie Sanders made any effort to change convention rules so the plurality winner is the nominee?

A serious question: Why does it frustrate you?

I guess more to the point: Why does it it frustrate you more than, say, Hillary constantly using a national media megaphone to shitpost and cry?

Yes, Bernie is the reason why the superdelegates cannot vote until the 2nd ballot.

The DNC changed a ton of their convention rules to be more grassroots and less dominated by machine politics and wealth.

Because Hillary Clinton is not running for President. She is a private citizen shitposting Bernie and everyone on his side takes the fucking bait. She's powerless unless you give her power by falling for this shit. Ignoring Hillary's BS is a much more powerful and productive statement IMO.

So moving on from that bullshit...

Bernie has been sandbagging his massive fundraising and blitzed spending in Q4 to surge right at the end.

Bernie placing a huge bet on Iowa and NH. Finishing lower than 2nd in both states will NOT be good.

Looking forward to the final Selzer poll tonight in Iowa.

But the plurality winner is still not the nominee. If that were the case, there would be no second ballot at all.

You should vote for the nominee no matter who it is. Failing to do so helps the party you want to defeat.

But you know that.

Nice pivot. Here comes my best BT impression:

Do you think Berners would not viciously attack Booker and Castro if they were top tier candidates? That Booker had lots of billionaire donors? Or heavily criticize his record as mayor of Newark?  That Castro's career has been as an establishment hack, a terrible record at HUD, that he was in a weak mayor system in SA and was a glorified councilman, or whatever shit they'd dig up?

My vote is irrelevant. Donald Trump is winning my state regardless of what I do. I could stay home or I could campaign my heart up, those electoral votes are going to Donald.

If the plurality winner is not the formal nominee, the general election is over and Trump is winning reelection. What I decide to do will mean nothing. You're confusing personal shaming with punditry. You're bad at both, incidentally.

Everything you just mentioned is exactly what candidates should be criticized for.

But you've convinced yourself that you and your lot are victims, so even the normal and proper critical analysis of a campaign is now a "vicious attack".

Just mean harsh political and personal attacks.

You'll be hard pressed to find me saying something negative about Bernie Sanders, the man. Meanwhile, Pete is a "psychopath" or a "sociopath".  I guess that's proper critical analysis.

Like I said, Bernie is my #2 candidate. How is that playing the victim? I'm not #NeverBernie person. I plan on voting for him, dumbass.

I’ve come to believe that with one change of circumstance in BT’s life that he would have been a MAGA.

The vitriol, the condescension, and complete inability to take criticism of his chosen one are already baked in.

Just change the word “Bernie” to “Trump”.

It’s uncanny.

Gonna phonebank in a few hours.

JOIN ME!

We originally had a goal to make 5M in January. We hit that in two weeks, so the goal was moved to 10M. We're about ~400k away. I've done probably 300?

It's really easy and fun. You get yelled at by Trump supporters. You get into a Zen space of just being nice no matter what happens. You talk to some Bernie Bros and verbally high-five. You get some completely bizarre questions. You get hung up on. And mostly, you go to voicemail.

This isn't near the hottest stuff. '08 primary was hotter and the '04 general? HOOOO BOY quite a few W supporters said they wished they could kill me when I called on behalf of John Kerry.

The general election will be a blast. I'm half-kidding encouraging you guys to phonebank right now, but I genuinely recommend the experience in the general. Calling MAGA nuts in late October is going to be spicy as hell.

That your commentary on my "life circumstances" is laughably ignorant. I'm from deep MAGA country. I live in Texas. There's nothing about my "life circumstances" that lead me to my politics, so this idea that all it would take is a change in "life circumstances" to make me MAGA is fucking stupid.

Yang Gang is a made up of a shit ton of people that are not Democrats. Actually I think a lot of his supporters have no party affiliation at all.

The DNC might want to figure out how to bring new alliances in by building a big tent or just lose another election and feign outrage about 3rd Party candidates and Russian bots.

Or maybe, just maybe, non-Democrats will stop running as Democrats because it's easier than establishing a third party.

Bernie has been winning like fucking crazy.
