Which is fair, but even that should involve some kind of expressable reasoning that we can get engaged with and have substantive conversations about.

Why not Bernie? Why is anti-Bernieness so paramount?

Why do you think a lot of people don't like Bernie?

Just answer, bud.

There have been tons of substantive discussions about Bernie’s proposals, and you ignore or dismiss every response where someone says they don’t agree with Bernie’s plans.

Yes, there have been. That's my point. Substantive discussion of issues comes largely from the Bernie camp.

There are more Biden voters here than Bernie voters... why nothing on Joe?

  • Judges - Bernie will appoint magnificent judges. He can change the 5th Circuit the way Trump reengineered the 9th Circuit.
  • Institutions - Sanders policies rely on robust institutions and trust in these institutions.
  • State Department - State Department is the key to his foreign policy. We cannot do that without dedicated officials who know the President has their backs.
  • Criminal Enterprise - Sanders does not rely on corruption. Check his record. He is a reformer. Hence, the opposition.
  • Tax Policy - A return to pre-late 70's -80's tax policy is the hallmark of his argument against neoliberal (libertarian) economic policies. They will be progressive, but aimed more at the widening wealth inequality (which resulted from neoliberal tax policy).

Found an interesting old article (2011) on historical income taxes and analysis....

HG - probably a good time to look at his electability again, don't you think? He will have to beat Trump. Just put me on ignore. You won't hurt my feelings. Seriously.

Kids in cages? Joe says he was protecting them.

Joe protecting those kids in cages and then handing them off to traffickers.

Tell me what to say to Latino and progressive voters if Biden is at the top of the ticket. I am all ears.

lol what a worthless fucking party. cockroaches scurrying behind the scene all in an effort to stop poor people from having healthcare.

Quote

Mr. Buttigieg talked with Mr. Biden and former President Barack Obama on Sunday night, according to a Democratic official familiar with the conversations. Mr. Biden asked for Mr. Buttigieg’s support and the former mayor indicated he would consider the request. Mr. Buttigieg wants to sleep on the decision, he told aides, some of whom believe he should move quickly to endorse Mr. Biden.

Mr. Obama did not specifically encourage Mr. Buttigieg to endorse Mr. Biden, said the official, who insisted on anonymity to discuss private conversations. But Mr. Obama did note that Mr. Buttigieg has considerable leverage at the moment and should think about how best to use it. Should Mr. Buttigieg endorse Mr. Biden on Monday, it could reshape the Democratic primary if many of his supporters shift to Mr. Biden, creating a more formidable centrist challenge to Mr. Sanders’s progressive movement.

Old voters are reliable and will show up to beat Trump.

Young voters aren't.

We should go with the person who will bring out as much youth vote as possible.

Old voters are also the morons most scared by a ‘socialist’.  No doubt.  So, maybe?

The past week or two is pushing me here pretty fast.

Trump is going to win unless there is a recession. He’s consolidated support from Republicans he didn’t have in 2016.

If there is a recession before Election Day, he will lose to whoever the Dems put up.

I’m about 90 percent sure on this.

I will laugh hysterically if Biden comes in third tomorrow.

He could be in 3rd when initial results come in as those are usually the early votes when you had more nominees but he'll rise as the night goes on and Election Day results are counted.

So why won’t Obama come out and endorse Joe. Chickenshit move, IMO.

Or he's going to lose because he will be more unpopular than his opponent, regardless of who it is.

He had 100% support on Election Day.  Biden and Bern’s lone saving grace is that Trump’s current numbers are complete shit.

And an even larger number that would be like, ‘trump sucks but no need to overreact and elect a socialist’.  Not saying those people are right but there’s a LOT of them out there.

This is where I'm at. Always raised as a conservative Democrat. Was a fan of Amy K, but fuck socialism in it's ass. My great uncle that died in Korea would turn over in his grave. Gen Xers grew up during the Cold War when schools still had bombing drills, and paid our own way through college.
