The debates are stupid either way.

I still like my round robin debate idea.  Take the top five, have one-on-one hour long debates.

Do two debates a week and stretch it out over five weeks starting in November.

you’d have 10 debates :

Week 1:  Kamala vs Pete and Biden vs Sanders

Week 2:  Warren vs Sanders and Biden vs Pete

Week 3: Warren vs Kamala and Sanders vs Pete

Week 4: Biden vs Kamala and Warren vs Pete

Week 5: Biden vs Warren and Sanders vs Kamala

Everyone gets a bye week.

Tulsi is going to get lit on fire about impeachment and that will be hilarious. She'll try to kamikaze someone else like she did Harris, which will also be hilarious. I hope it's Joe. It will fail spectacularly if it's Bernie or Liz.

i think the candidates should show tulsi what divisive means, and let her sit in the audience.

tulsi now supports impeachment per cnn.

there will be a link or tweet up soon.

take notes.  this is how you lead, people.

The reality, unfortunately, is that the Dem leadership doesn't know how to go on offense with political messaging.   And Mueller didn't help with the way he did his report.   This whistleblower essentially took matters into his own hands and drafted the right messaging in his complaint.

well it also helped that trump and giuliani have already basically confessed.

True.  Although they've likely had the complaint for weeks, so their response has to be considered in the context of them knowing that this was likely to come out.   If they were blindsided, they might have lied first.

Pretty sure Tulsi was stalling on impeachment because her base is Trump voters.  Will her base turn on Tulsi or Trump?  No one cares, they both suck.

warren interview today with mj lee on cnn (video in link).

this is a great chance for her to speak to america, in real time, about something that is actually relevant to her as a candidate (i don't really care what biden thinks about impeachment).

1. she's a senator, so she has a say, and has an opinion about what her republican colleagues might do (she gets asked about it).

2. she's running as the anti-corruption candidate, and the timing of the trump nonsense and the juxtaposition is just too perfect.

Pete spoke today in Austin at the Tribune Festival. I'm biased, but found it to be one of his better interviews. Worth the watch if you want to hear some interesting broader outlooks instead of wonky policy stuff and number crunching.

Stephanie Ruhle interviewed him.

Lots of Warren supporters in the comments condemning this pundit’s analysis.   Good to see.

To be fair to Pete, he didn’t “take aim” at Elizabeth Warren in this reporting.  Still not the best answer, very Delaney like.

He’s been making subtle jabs at Warren, Harris, Bernie and Biden. Sack up and hit them instead of playing coy.

Where he is in the polls and with his most likely career aspirations, it doesn't make a ton of sense to incite bad blood with some of those folks.  Bernie maybe as he's older and doesn't have a good path to the nomination but his influence runs deep.  Making distinctions between who he and his opponents is one thing.  Starting a street fight is quite another.

Moving on.  I found this a bit interesting.  Nobody is going as angry and as aggressive as Beto on guns.  Hegar basically just wants to walk back open carry.

Booker needs some more cash, so the texts tell me, or he won't qualify for next debate.   I'm still thinking this guy could get some wings with just a bit more time selling the idea that his tent would be pretty wide.

Pretty good short interview:

Sneaky Pete is a common theme I’m seeing.

Watch the video and stop being so sensitive. God forbid a candidate actually answers questions.

His answers suck though.  Electability? lmao that’s not even a real thing Pete and you know it.

“we need to be bold but we need to come together?”  Means nothing except “I’m kind of a scared of pissing people off.”

Warren:  “We need to go on offense, fuck playing defense”

Bernie:  “Revolution time”

Pete and Biden:  “Whoa whoa whoa everyone, let’s talk this out and maybe the other side will see it our way.”

He was ready to explain his electability response but Ruhle cut him off. Hate his answers, I don't give a shit.

At least he's not constantly dodging questions.

Adorable puff piece interview with Bruce Mann and Elizabeth Warren

yet another total hatchet job by cnn/msm.  disgraceful.

they accuse her of objectifying him and his good legs.

Just rewatched this and god damn we can wreck Donald and sweep in progressive change with Liz as a candidate if we handle this right.

This whole DNA test escapade was a joke and an embarrassment, so that aspect of the video is bad, but the fundamental story she has of divorce and working/schooling motherhood could be HUGE in a general where we need women to turn out strong.
