Those are most excellent.  But a couple years ago I found these, and they knocked the jalapeno flavor off its pedestal.  I haven't seen them in my HEB since.

CSB- My brother in law's father in law works at Kettle, so we occasionally get to "test" some of the upcoming flavors. Pepperoncini was one that we all agreed on, and Mike always brings a bag of those over to the house when we're in town.

This was my favorite:

But they changed the flavor between the test process and production. Now? Meh.

Relatedly, from the Northwest:

The surprise is that they're terrible. Ironically, this describes the flavor pretty well.

Saw these at HEB today. Did not buy but was intrigued.  Are they wavy Lay's seasoned with Funyon's or are they wavy Funyon's? Is there a difference?

Saw these during my last grocery run, laughed, then decided to give them a try.

Pretty tasty.  The Funyun powder works surprisingly well on a chip.

These are the best chips. Everyone else is just fighting for second place

I will also add, that these are the prized chips in a bag of kettle cooked chips - the ones that folded over when fried. If you can find two stuck together and folded over, you've achieved chip nirvana.

I also forgot...these are THE BEST S&V chips I've ever had.  And I started eating S&V crisps as a kid when I lived in England in the 70s.  The ONE bad thing about moving to TX was the lack of this type of chip.

Most S&V chips are good but "mild" in flavor.  These Utz S&V chips punch you straight in the face to announce they're S&V...TONS of flavor.

My favorite non-Texas chip.  I get these when visiting the east coast. The flat chip with the Old Bay is fine, but the kettle cooked are other-worldly for me.  Not sure why...

Definitely intrigued by the spicy dill wavy chips.  Worth an Amazon order?

I think so.  Straight crack.  Not a real strong heat, but more of a cayenne dill pickle vibe

Rays*

Sigh. We joke, but there is some systematic error in the English language education here in Thailand between the R and L sounds. We've tested with many of our Thai staff, if you write it the "other" way and ask them to pronounce it, they generally get the sound correct. Hence you write Rays and they pronounce Lays, you write Lays they pronounce Rays. We have not identified where the root cause is; one theory is that many teachers here are Filipino, and we suspect some systemic reversal of the two sounds in the way those teachers are being taught, so the teachers are learning wrong and then teaching wrong, continuing to propagate the issue.

Yes,

I would get quite fat if someone made a bag of kettle style chips that were all folded over twice like the above.

Crunchy perfection.
