Want to hear where y’all are going! I can’t brag yet we are still looking at 30A and maybe a white water rafting trip. We can’t plan until Monday for an odd reason.

Careful with that. I think I’ve punnched everyone I’ve ever met in Abilene.

I’ve already done 30A, Cabo, and the Indy 500. Looking to round out the summer with Jackson Hole, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nashville.

I joked about Abilene earlier, but we are taking a really great trip in September (although I guess technically that's autumn and not summer.) Flying to Athens for 3 days then, then getting on a cruise to 2 greek islands, Istanbul Turkey, Izmir, Turkey, Alexandria, Egypt, Cairo, and ending with 2 days in Jerusalem. We're going fancy with Oceania. It's a smaller ship and food and amenities are supposed to be outstanding.

Yellowstone area for 7 days  with a 1.5 day side trip to the Tetons starting on July 1.

I’ll be there at the same time. If you see someone who looks exhausted wearing a five month old in an infant carrier and chasing after my 4 and 2 year old around Jenny or String Lake say hi.

We're going with 4 families.  21 people, 8 parents and kids ranging from 27 to 4.   And the 4 year old is probably the best behaved and most fun to be around.

JFC. I take back my rep on the earlier post. You’re coming home in a body bag.

Greece for two weeks--Athens then some islands. Then stopping in London on the way back for 4 days because I promised oldest daughter I would take her some day. Technically, work trip but only have a few hours of work stuff here and there. Wife joining me for part of the trip then oldest daughter flying over for the rest.

Seriously struggling with not going to Italy for a beach trip this summer... like really bumming me out.  BUT we will get a long weekend in Isla Mujeres and we'll fly into Portland and then roadtrip Oregon and northern California.   But I'm still seething.  I'll fix this next year.

Damn surly 1% ... Typhoon Texas for us, but only if the coupon code works.

The real answer is Puerto Rico on the company dime plus a spending cash allotment that I'll probably blow in 24 hours.

Unrelated question: Are there casinos in PR?

Nah, it will be fun.   The trip is split up into three sections, west side of Yellowstone for several nights, north side of Yellowstone for several more then 2 nights in Jackson.   At the first stop, we're staying with my SiL and BiL with their two kids (22 and 18) in a house.   The other two families are glamping nearby.  Then we're staying in a condo (just five of us) and the other three families glamp.   Finally, it's just 5 of us going back to Jackson for the last 1.5 days.

But I do think I'll wish I hadn't quit drinking at some point.

Heading up to our place in Alaska for 9 days in June and 14 days in August with a three night trip to Auberge Etereo in Riveria Maya in mid July.

got to Maui last Thursday and leaving tomorrow.  first time to Maui and we are staying in the Ho'olei villas behind the Grand Wailea (west side of island).

pretty good views from the porch.

Just mostly chilling at the beach and pool.  did a snorkel trip to the crater and some surfing lessons.  ran into way more turtles surfing than snorkeling.  a big one got tangled up in my leash for a bit.

Flying into Munich in late July, spending a day there, driving through Austria for a week (stops in Langenfeld and Lech) and ending in Switzerland (staying/eating at Schloss Schauenstein in Furstenau) for a couple days.

In June, 4 days in Toledo, 7 days in Madrid.

London for work (does not count, but I do have fun on the evenings)

Stockholm for Midsummer

I do not travel in July and August when kids are out of school.  I hold down the fort at work and let my colleagues who have kids take vacation.  That being said, I might have to head to London again for work, which will mean a weekend or two somehwhere else, and might head up to Maine for work this summer (we have an office in Portsmouth, NH, and Maine is right there).

In September, will go somewhere as I am headed back across the pond for work, but not sure where just yet.  Thinking maybe Montenegro, a Greek Island, Cyprus, or maybe hit Vienna and Budapest.  Not making any plans until later this summer.

In playa del Carmen now and it's amazing. Food, people, and the US dollar are strong, nothing not to like...except the mafia, taxis, driving, and fucking speed bumps everywhere

I've been to that resort (used to be call the Royal but think it changed) at least 5 times.  Probably more. We went probably every other year before we had kids but haven't made it back since New Years 2015/2016.  Still looks nice.  Great spot.

Maybe. 😊

II’ll bet you’ll be more grateful than ever that you quit drinking.

Aloha bruddah. Yea, snorkeling the crater is underwhelming, the real fun is scuba on the back side. Great spot to stay!

My wife and I are hitting up Charleston for 4 nights next week.  At least hopefully so.  Of course our oldest woke up sick with a fever this AM.  Hopefully plenty of time to get through all of us if whatever it is is going to spread before we leave Weds.

Headed back to Tahiti in September. I am going to camp this time in Raiatea and spend a few days in Moorea so I can hopefully swim with the humpback whales. I want to spend a couple of days in Tahiti again as well just to go see a few things I liked in January.

So cool how the different hemisphere groups are on different birthing/fuggin schedules. Ours(Maui) just left in early May.

This is going to be the first summer in a while without any legitimate trips. Oldest starts college next year, so she is doing a couple of summer immersion camps at schools she is interested in, both kids leave for a mission trip tomorrow, youngest has a long camp late June, and the oldest is heading to Jamaica to visit a friend’s family for a couple of weeks. By the time they got all that pieced together we decided being home by ourselves that much would be a vacation and we would skip a year.

99% sure I did my honeymoon there. Nice place. My fam went to Cancun every summer as a kid and I got to climb that pyramid before they closed it off. Chichen Itza is bad ass.

There are definitely casinos in PR. Assuming you'll be in San Juan, there's one in the Renaissance, one in the Marriott, and one in the Fairmont, all on the beach in Condado.

The pyramids are breathtaking, we did a few Mayan Ruin tours, Tulum and Coba to name a few. After a long day, we had to cool off in the water in the "sinkholes". For a poor country, there is some amazing views. 21259915f6c0afd37fd146add11347b7.jpg7dd5f9bd6c2808eef411b7ab4b0799a7.jpg966a06cba70e5cb5070ec37df1e0ce7d.jpg

Right now spending a couple of weeks in Athens, Paros, Santorini, and Crete. So far, great. There are, however, a lot of people in this world.
