Well they answered our 3 run frame with a 3 run frame....

Which would not have been a 3 run frame if the cunt ump called the same strike he called on Daly.

Damn. Brown needs some speed

He should be the DH.  We need a real left fielder who can hit, in addition to a new center and right fielder.  And a shortstop.  And a catcher who can throw somebody out.  And a couple new starters.

He's a catcher that stepped up into a position ( he didn't want to go to) that he was not familiar with and has had a stellar year.

yeah, he's been great at 3rd.

How the fuck do you give up that hit 0-2!?

they have gotten two crucial hits on an 0-2 count so far tonight.  the first one scored when the HR was hit, and then that one scored 2.

meanwhile we flail at almost every 0-2 pitch.... or we just watch it go right down the pipe and act surprised when we get rung up

Can't put it all on Morehouse.  He's actually not throwing that poorly.  These dudes can just fucking hit.  AND they've been sitting on the right pitch...they're rarely fooled timing wise.  Good fortune or good scouting, but they're on it either way.

And...pretty amazing what you can do when you go opposite field instead of trying to yank everything.  Would be nice if our guys would try it.

Wut?

I mean he’s a redshirt junior that always showed the ability to hit but never could find a role. If Flores doesn’t struggle in the field he’s still our third baseman. One could assume that his defense may have played a role in that. I believe he has the lowest fielding percentage on the team that has logged enough starts in the field.

All true, yet here we are a game away from the CWS.

Stanford going the opposite way, our guys swinging out of their shoes.

Yup.  They're pitching away, away, away for a reason.

Yeah that probably plays a role but I originally thought he made the switch after his freshman year.
