No big surprise, but looks and sounds like a 90% LSU crowd

A friend (UT alum) is there with his LSU son, dripping in purple garb, and has been there since last weekend.

He’s hoping for that Father/Son Field of Dreams shit. I’m pulling for LSU so that he can have that experience.

Offense seemed to blow up this year across the country in college baseball.

And yet this CWS has been low scoring, lots of pitchers' duels.

No gorilla ball in sight.

One of the best I've seen, watching since the 80's.

Goddammit Dugas

Skenes available tomorrow or nah?

Florida looks kinda overmatched.

Doubt Skenes will be available except for maybe a few innings in Gm #3 on Monday

LSU's lineup is brutal.

Getting out of jams the last couple of innings is huuuugggeee.

He has to sit a minimum of 3 days by NCAA rule since he pitched over 76 pitches.

Is that a new thing?  I don't recall a specific rule in the past.  I saw someone post something like that.

I think it might be.

During the regular season, I don't think it affects you much for your starters.

It's a bigger deal for your closer since he has to sit a day if he goes over 25.

Appears to be effective this year.  You don't see the kind of pitch count abuse anymore that you saw 20 years ago, maybe even 10.

Floyd's pitching a monster game and his offense should have given him a huge lead by this point.

We're very fortunate that it's close.

Sproat struggled to find the zone and LSU was super patient.

I've lost count of the number of times in Omaha that we've managed to get out of a bases loaded situation.
