Kentucky Woman Shoots Uber Driver in El Paso

So she actually had two pistols on her apparently.

Which is what you have to do when going to a family entertainment complex.  You never know who's gonna cut the line for sno-cones or the claw machine.

It was only recently I realized how many people walk around like this, in constant fear telling themselves, "Well at least I'm in control, dos pistolas!"  A woman who doesn't know what borders on a map mean was sold this, and probably more, amounts of firepower.  If you can't point to where Mexico and Texas are divided, you don't get to come here with multiple firearms.  New rule.

These people are so fucking stupid, I'm surprised she just didn't start blasting once she saw the first billboard in Spanish outside the airport.  But we're gonna start a rumor anyway that she's gonna be pardoned because she represents the fear that every tourist to Texas lives in that they'll be raped and murdered near the border by illegals.  Just to see what shakes out, could be fun.

If only the uber driver had been packing, he could have blasted her first, as our founding fathers intended.

This is why I shoot everyone I meet. You just can’t take any chances. People are absolute maniacs out there these days!

How did the Kentucky lady get her gun? Did she fly here with it? Drive? If she drove then why take the Uber in the first place?

Probably bought one upon arrival. Doesn’t a handgun come with most meal combos in TX these days?

I’m confused.  Is the only solution to bad guys with guns in Uber rides, more Good Lyft drivers with guns or more guns for the Uber passengers?  Or public transportation where we All get heavy artillery?  I’m bad at logic.

I was mainly in the Woodlands, but also a quick trip to Kirby/59 area.

Close to being kidnapped and taken across the border to Conroe. You’re living dangerously buddy. I recommend at least two .45 semi-automatic pistols with magazine capacities of 15-17.  Remember, likr in El Paso, shoot first, ask questions later.

Guess pulling out the Uber app to see if they were deviating from the planned route wasn’t top of mind. Will be interesting to see the toxicology report. The picture at the scene thing is weird too and fucked up. Boyfriend gets to the scene before police? But didn’t just pick her up in the first place. This whole story fucking stinks.

Is there a big problem with fugly women being abducted by Uber drivers and taken across the border that I'm not aware of?  And once you're at the border, wouldn't she have ample opportunity to exit the  vehicle before it crossed?

Dumb ass.

you do realize the number of fugly women out there being self-aware enough to KNOW they are fugly is like one in 100,000? People still see themselves as if it was 30 years ago with their 17 year old face & body memory.

In their mind, they are still fuckable.... which is why a woman like that is fucking convinced shes about to get kidnapped and taken to Mexico to be a forced sex slave or whatever.

I didn't say you stole it I said they beat you.

I did a poor job of paraphrasing Pete Campbell to make a joke (I’m on another re-watch of Mad Men):

”Direct marketing—I thought of that. Turned out it already existed, but I arrived at it independently.”

Interesting piece of back story from one of the El Paso news outlets.

CBS4 learned Copas was charged with assault - domestic violence - in 2021.

The police report filed by Tompkinsville Police Department alleged Copas was involved in a physical fight with her husband, Keith Copas.

Copas allegedly used a pistol to strike Keith during the altercation.

The case was dismissed after it was presented to a grand jury in 2022, according to the Monroe County Circuit Court Clerk's Office.

Freedom fries ain’t free.

But you can up-size fries for "Buck-o-Five, mmmmmm, Buck-o-Five, yeah"

Criminal history?  Check.  Give her a gun.

Planning a trip to fly with said gun?  Check.  Give her a second gun.

I'm guessing while she's out on $1.5mm bail, we'll figure out a way to blame low bail amounts and sell her another firearm?

The irony will be she flees to Mexico.

In this simulation, that is absolutely going to happen.  I mean there's no way she even has 10% of that $1.5mm.  And then in another master stroke of irony, she'll get weary down there and attempt to re-enter the U.S. but can't go through the normal checkpoints.  So she sneaks in across the river, gets caught, and ends up in a detention center trying to convince a bunch of Venezuelans that she's actually from Kentucky?  And having never heard of it, they all just stare and her and ask "Ke?"

Maybe she was in town on business (drugs), hence the gun and probably cash. A little paranoid, then BLAM! Brains everywhere.

She was in town on drug business?  She's from the fucking meth capital of North America.  Do they publish what is found on you during a shooting besides the weaponry so the caliber experts can weigh in?  She was going to some kinda family friendly like live music/entertainment/games complex.  It would be weird if she had $9k on her at the time.  Also still not known-how'd she get the guns on the plane?  I'm guessing she didn't drive her, hence the Uber.  Or she drove all that way and then took an Uber the last 10 miles to not use her own car for some reason.

We've all had a rideshare driver or cabbie who missed a turn, even with today's technology.  But I really wonder what set her off besides the road sign?  Because the sign said Mexico?  Self-defense?  I mean we're Texans, we spend a lot of time right up against the border and understand how it works, it takes a long time and lotsa effort to cross.  You don't just slip in.  And she'll claim "I'm from Kentucky, I didn't know how it worked...I was being abducted."  But to come all that way, in this day and age, and not have any fucking idea how border crossing work?  That's a shaky ass defense.  Was she on something?  Did he say something weird?  I'd like to think not.  Was she just wired up by bullshit propaganda about the border of El Paso which is actually quite safe?

I'm sure some dipshit anchor will explain away her behavior with something like "Socialist Rideshare drivers are taking tourists to the border and having brown people force the tourists to eat fentanyl!"
