Holy shit I took awhile on Cle/Min and then for the 3000K Cle guy I just threw a hail mary out there because I couldn't think of anyone who played for them who had 3000K so I just guessed with my last guess.

I definitely think my weakness is 80s to like mid 90s AL teams.....and the Brewers.....since the Astros were in the NL with no interleague etc.  I am probably better since mid 90 when I started playing fantasy baseball.

So single season stats and awards have to be when playing on the team in question but career stats do not.

(Yes I was thinking my Clemens answer might have been wrong, too)

I missed a real easy one because I wasted some picks on what I THOUGHT were easy ones.

It's in the list of instructions in the "how to play" pop-up when you first visit the site.  But ain't nobody got time for that.

Yeah i was worried about this cause I was like....no way in hell i am getting pitchers who had their 3000k with a certain team. So i put in Pedro for Red Sox and it worked so I knew it wasn't the other way

But it's not. I looked earlier today and it didn't say anything about career stats unless my rage blinded me. I had never read it before so assumed it did.

Yeah I thought you had to name the guy with the team when he reached the milestone

but the instructions don’t cover that.

And it’s definitely not how it works because I got credit for Pedro under Red Sox even though he got 3,000 with the Mets (forgot he even pitched there) and Sabathia with Cleveland even though he got 3,000 with the yankees

Looks like 2 grids today for some reason so you have like 12 hours to get this one in

Apparently if you want a low similarity score (is 74 good?) you just have to go with old guys on the awards even if they are obvious? Reggie Jackson, Jim Palmer and Dale Murphy are all really obvious all stars with their teams if you are a certain age but that got 1, 2 and 3% respectively.

I was cruising through my first 7 guesses.  All correct and 6 out of 7 single digit rarity.  Then finished with two big whiffs.

Same damn thing.  Blew through the first 7 guesses with rarity score of 10% or lower in each.  Had visions of a sub-100 score and whiffed on the last two.

Sports Reference LLC has acquired the online baseball-themed trivia game, Immaculate Grid.

This unique opportunity and acquisition for Sports Reference is the company’s first venture into expanding its websites to have playable content. With over one million users a day, Baseball Reference hopes to drive new traffic to the game, and vice versa.

Moving forward, the Immaculate Grid game will now be integrated into Baseball-Reference.com, enticing players to dive down the rabbit hole of the site and learn more about players, teams, and statistics.

An homage to baseball’s immaculate inning, Immaculate Grid tests the knowledge of baseball fans with a daily game allowing players nine guesses to complete a nine square grid. Immaculate Grid was launched by Brian Minter on April 4th and by mid-June was seeing over 100,000 daily plays. Brian is a baseball fan and software engineer in Atlanta, Georgia who conceived of the game during his free time.

"Brian has built an incredibly engaging game that has attracted hundreds of thousands of fans. I've spent many mornings scouring the recesses of my brain looking for that one player who played for both the Phillies and the Padres. We are excited Brian reached out to us about expanding his game to additional sports. Many on our team have been active players of the game for months now, and we are excited to bring it to all of our sites," said Sean Forman, President of Sports Reference LLC, "I can assure fans of the game, we aren't looking to change what makes the game great."

A new feature of the game will include a list of possible answers in the summary section. Users will now be able to see all potential players, visit their Baseball Reference page, or see Stathead query results.

Fair to question it but I'm a balls in play nerd / 3TO hater. Famous single season hits totals is something I know. Combs is very obvious because his big hits total season was for the 1927 Yankees, I'm far from the only one who knows lots of stats for that team. Klein had one of the only 250+ seasons which everyone watched Ichiro pass.

Wheat is the only one that some stat nerds might not know. Now if you made me name players with 200+ hits since Ichiro last did it not named Altuve I'd have a problem. Although I guess not many guys reach that number anymore anyway.
