I mean...you learned wrong, but okay.  What the hell do you think they really are?  Some mystery plant that looks a whole lot like a small cucumber, but isn't really a cucumber?

Apparently whoever wrote the article confused the typical cornichon/gherkin with the burr gherkin which does taste like a cucumber and can be pickled but doesn't look quite like a cucumber (more egg shaped)

Barely visible leftover hot chicken tender/hot crinkle cut fries from Ricky's (the best, locations in Plano and Richardson), leftover mac & cheese from home, homemade pickles, Duke's, and Salsa Dona.

All my contributions are tacos it seems...

Made chili for Frito Pie last night. Had some leftover so decided to have Frito Pie tacos.  No complaints.

The frito pie taco is a thing of cheap beauty.  Shit, don't Sonic and Taco Bell still offer a version of this (like a "chilitos" wrap or something like that)?  I recall ordering something like that for 99 cents as a road snack sometime back.

Only at select Taco Bells… don’t worry about why I know about this map:

Sonic does for sure...I add grilled jalapenos to mine.

It feels like this thread would call for the brown water to be in something like a red Solo cup or an old Icee cup rather than that high fallootin' glassware, but on the other hand I would do the exact same thing...

He's eating a pickled beet straight out of the jar using a cocktail sword.  I'm going to give him a pass on the glassware.

The jar was merely there to throw you off. It was actually raw chicken liver.

Brisket to the white courtesy phone, please.

You damned well know that I prefer all of my yard bird innards fried.  In fact, in order of preference, it's hearts, gizzards, then livers.  A combo plate of all three is fabulous.

Maybe a little high dollar for the shank thread but I'm a fan of spreadable organ meats as well.

Hearts before gizzards?

I put em in a ziploc with oil and Cajun seasoning, then grill on skewers for a tailgate snack. I’ve converted a shitload of people to loving them.

I just assumed that's how you cook literally everything.
