The boy doesn’t like “sauce”, so for his ricotta and spinach tortellini I drizzled some chile con queso I had left over from Saturday. Paired with some hush puppies.

My son is laughing right now.

Leftover queso is the nectar of the gods.

Little snack of smoked ring bologna with pimento cheese on HEB jalapeño saltines.  And some spicy pickled okra.

Those sound like they have serious potential.  As if I needed another reason to be surly for not living anywhere hear an HEB...

Last night bacon wrapped chili dogs hit. Grilled onion and jalapeños with an extra topping of raw onions. Woke up in an unpleasant way this morning

Serrano is the gift that keeps on giving. Worth it every time.

Edit: the jap you mentioned is sideways. My mistake.

Worked up an appetite this morning chain sawing some firewood out of brush piles.  Had some leftover chili and some corny dogs.  Air fried the corn dogs and went to town. No paper plates so used Maw maws stoneware.

Thread is slipping down the page so I humbly offer a homemade leftover chicken tender sandwich on hot dog bun with shredded cheese hinge, covered in Laynes sauce. Cheese didn’t add much, but I should have toasted the bun. 7/10

I'll let judgey-wudgey address a non-heated shredded cheese hinge and I'll address the "Layne sauce". What the hell is Layne sauce?

Otherwise, looks good.

I did heat the shredded cheese and bun up and the cheese was melty with that and the hot tenders on top, just probably wasn't enough to make it noticeably cheesy.

Laynes sauce is the sauce from Laynes chicken the apparent place that raising canes took their whole restaurant idea from. Yes it's the aggy place from college station but they have some locations in DFW now. They are almost identical, but Laynes seems to be a bit better and is more convenient. Sauce is identical.
