Last of the homemade hoagie roll cheesesteaks. Scooped roll, 1/2 lb thin sliced ribeye from hmart, 3 slices provolone from the deli case, a couple big spoons of translucent onions, salt and pepper, and (i think this was key as this was better than the one on superbowl sunday) a couple big spoonfuls of cento hoagie spread.

Wife was trying out a hotdog chili recipe she found online, it turned out more like Manwich. Anyhow, had a leftover steak burger and fries in the freezer and made do with the Manwich chili…

Look, don’t come on here trying to get street cred with your beat up paper plate. This belongs in look at this damn sandwich or some fine dining thread more so than here.

And you know it. Don’t let it happen again.

Interesting setup. How do you keep the fillings from falling out when the sandwich is finalized?

I'm thinking you hold on for dear life and keep a fork handy.

You let them fall onto your paper plate then grab another piece of bread and make a fold over with the drippings.

Leftover meatloaf, pimento cheese, red onions and serranos.  Whataburger spicy ketchup will be added later.

I would have accepted this in Check Out This Fucking Sandwich, or even Shit I've Cooked Lately.  That looks delicious.

Meatloaf is one of those things that I reluctantly ate as a kid, but have grown to love as an adult.

Next time one of you are browning (or reheating) some ground beef for Shank tacos/nachos/whatever, throw some of this in.

It’s a dollar, good to keep around. It’s red though, like tomato sauce, don’t expect that when you first open the can.

Pato's spicy tomato sauce makes an excellent meatloaf glaze

Tomatoes have their place. When in season and picked fresh from the garden, they're the star of a BLT.

That being said, tomatoes have no place on a burger or a melt of any kind. All they do is make everything soggy.

100% this. I dont think I use tomatoes on much else except salads. I don't like them on burgers.

For the BLT, they have to almost be overripe.

This is my one and only "raw tomato on a sandwich" exception.  And a fine one it is.

Sorry for the neg rep, but a man's gotta have a code. I cannot stand by and watch the good name of the BLT be subjected to such slander.

YARN | I didn't want to do it. I felt I owed it to them ...

I'll get ya back on another thread.

When the wife brings home a stray boudin from her Fat Tuesday catering, you do what must be done.  I don't know where it came from and I don't want to know.  Before I didn't have it and now I do.

Did.
