Coaches are braindead. You can go for 2 to get a signature win to cement your career but instead you extend the game against a much better opponent on the road, surrendering your chance of winning. Just pathetic.

Hey remember that time Georgia Tech came off a loss to Bowling Green and went on the road to undefeated and ranked Miami and played a good game with three interceptions but Miami had the ball with 26 seconds left and all they had to do was kneel it but they ran a play and fumbled and GT went 75 yards in two plays and scored on a 48 yard touchdown pass to win the game with 2 seconds left?

Evidently, Cristobal did something similar while at Oregon.  (ESPN had it this morning.)  Up with less that a minute left.  Should have taken a knee.  Fumbled.  Stanford recovered.  Kicked a FG.  Oregon then lost in OT.

And because coaches are generally unintelligent meatheads, I’m sure he will explain why this is the best thing to do and continue doing it even though it cost them a loss.

When Miami joined the ACC 19 years ago they made tshirts that said “We may be in your league but you’ll never be in ours.”

They have never won an ACC Championship. Hell even GT has one* since then.

F tha U.

(*Later vacated on some NCAA bullshit)

IIRC, "establishing an attitude" was Kevin Steele's "logic."

The Arizona coach didn’t even know the OT rules. He sent the kicking team out in the second OT.

Riley is starting to look like a putz.  This is his second year as SC coach and this team looks a lot like his last team at OU.  Literally the exact same QB (CW), some solid skill guys and a trash defense.  They barely won games that last year and that was with CW.  Someone compared this to Florida State fans and Jimbo.

The national press thought he was good because he won a NC but the Florida State fans who paid attention thought he was a fraud.  He left and got exposed.

IF the holder goes up to catch the snap and then back down on his knee, isn't the ball dead when he kneels?

I don't think so, there's some exemption for holders so they can run the old LSU over the head fliparoo fake for the mad hatter and not be down.

99/100 teams would kill to have him as coach.  He's 17-3, 12-1 in conference.  He's lost 13 games his entire career.

App State sold out a Tuesday game. That’s awesome
More awesome is the fact they're responsible for Bobby Petrino getting overpaid to randomly choose plays out of Jimbo's massive cheesecake factory menu instead of a much smaller paycheck doing the same at Nevada.
