Fuck flying a banner, that's old school...hack the drone show and get it to do our bidding.

Brilliant!  You could have it spell out the message of our choice and then form a giant dick that Yormark gobbles up.

Kind of a flex by Sankey. My concern is that it gives Yormark and the B12 office cover to screw Texas.

OTOH- Maybe the officials will be smart enough to figure out that the commissioner of one of the two conferences that matter is watching and paying attention?

Shouldn’t Mar hate Texas and blowu equally?

The Big 12 has consistently fucked us in favor of OU for years. They’re not changing this last time.

Isn’t he planning on being at the Tech game? We should fly a “Bert Yarmuk is not our standard” banner

We should seat that fucker on the upper deck with the Tech band and hope for a cold Thanksgiving weekend.

It’s not like they’ve needed cover, but how would this give them cover?

Maybe someone who’s good with stats — a statsman, let’s call him — could look at the Texas games called by Mar’s crew and compare them with other Texas games and other Mar games and see if there’s any statistical significance to what seems like a fuck job. Then post the info and maybe get people ready for what they’re going to see.

The stats don't lie, but where Mar really shines is in areas that do not show up on a stat sheet. A key holding on 1st down as we cross midfield, negating a positive play and putting us behind the chains. An illegal hands to the face on our defense on 3rd and 17 extending their drive. At least 30 minutes will be spent endlessly replaying bullshit. Standing on the fucking ball letting the defense catch their breath. Kevin Mar shuts down hurry up tempo with a ferocity Bill Belichek wishes he could emulate

I don’t blame Yormark. Traditionally, he would be hosted by the university president(s). (I know the CB really doesn’t have suites, but I assume there is some kind of box at least for the UT and OU biggest shots?)

However, if they’re hosting Sankey, I don’t know where Yormark is supposed to go (I’m assuming Sankey will alternate boxes through the game). Plus, he really doesn’t want to hang out with the UT and OU brass, anyway.

In my dream scenario, Sankey goes down to the field, and introduces himself to the officials, already knowing their names. I think that would send a clear message.

The issue is that he is paid to represent and act on behalf of all of the conference members, and he has clearly shirked that responsibility out of spite.

The shitheels at commissioner drove OU and Texas away. They are responsible for the break up and the diminished future and reputation.

I’m calling it.  Yormark will show up drunk to the box causing a scene bad mouthing both Texas with many expletives.  Security is called, and as he is crying uncontrollably, he quietly pleads please don’t leave me as he is escorted out of the box.

Then he slashes the tires of every high level Texas official.

Texas wins.  On the field . . . and in life.

I wish i could fail upwardly in life as well as these dipshit conference commissioners. What is so hard about "these two teams are our money makers. Let's make sure they are always happy"?

I can blame him.

HIS conference has a top 25 match up this weekend in what is considered the greatest rival game in college football.

He should be there no matter who else is there.

But, he had to get all uppity and drink the Joey McGuire piss.

He's a dumbass for not showing up.

He looks weak pulling this stunt.

But then again, the Big 12 is weak.

If you ask the left-behinders that post on this site, all the Big 12 ever did was cater to Texas and OU and did everything in their power to keep the two schools happy. The problem is that Texas and OU are such greedy, petulant, ungrateful motherfuckers that nothing was ever enough. It's not the commissioner's fault that Texas and OU are the college football equivalents of cancerous parasites, apparently.

Also apparently UT went to ESPN and held a gun to their head for LHN. There definitely weren't any other ideas for conference or multi-school networks that were shot down because petty admins from other schools didn't want to work with big bad Texas.

I would think Stankey was coming regardless of what Yormark was doing. Stankey is playing chess and showing his support for his 2 newest schools. Yormark has no leverage and couldn't win either way. If he attended the game, other B12 schools would bitch and wonder why he's supporting 2 exiting teams. If he doesn't go, everyone is going to wonder why he didn't attend the marquee match-up of the 2 ranked B12 schools. Fuck him regardless.

If Yormark came, he would be there to watch the two premier programs while they are on the national radar for CFB.   That the schools are leaving in no way changes that they are there now.  If the other schools complain, what is there to complain about?  Kick our ass on the field without officiating fuckery or shut the fuck up.  They are mired in mediocrity because that is who they are, not because of what someone else did or said.    Plus, it would show that there are no hard feelings, the exit will be amicable from here on out, and maybe we will see each other in the future (schedule games).   But the way it is playing out, OU and UT have zero incentive to schedule any B12 teams in the future.  Rice, SMU, SWT, UTSA, UTEP, Arky State, ULA, New Mexico's or AZ schools are all good enough options for OCC's and limit travel.

Check out what the rest of the league looks like when the two revenue-generators play against one another...

And keep in mind that last week, the Tech vs UH game drew 3% of the audience that the Texas game did.

Maybe, but we don’t want Sankey to take some ideas back to the SEC.

So stupid to schedule a Friday night game.    Maybe in non football states like Indiana ?   But not in a state like Oklahoma that somewhat takes its high school football Fridays seriously      The Rig 12 is really being ran by morons.

But you know if OU or Texas makes the playoff and even the championship game, the Rig 12 will milk the prestige for every drop.  They can’t have it both ways but that’s the way it will play out.   They tried it with our win against Bama.

I expect UT to take the high road. That’s how it has always been.

I was mildly surprised that we dropped the flags of the Big XII schools, but I think that decision was forced on us when the four new teams joined.

Had to get that Friday night ESPN slot or else that game was destined for ESPN+ or FS2 sometime Saturday...

I noticed they took down the flags too, but yeah…not going to buy 4 new ones for a single year.

Will be interested to see if they put up new ones next year.

I've been to a few 2:30 PM kicks of the RRS, and since the latest CFB scheduling-trend is that "only Losers play at 11 AM," (Craig Way has said it on several occasions) putting this kick at 11 AM seems like a last petty dig at Texas to deny the prestige of primetime ratings to Texas, even if it costs the Big12 money.

Texas and Mobilehoma are both undefeated and ranked, and you put it at 11 AM?  That doesn't wash.

It seems illogical, especially since the Irate8 games on the RRS weekend are run out at teams-with-better-records' timeslots? This seems upside-down, and I wouldn't be surprised if we hear it was forced by Yormark.

I know that supposedly the networks have to what amounts to a weekly game-draft of games to fill timeslots, but seeing all the conference games this weekend strikes me of forcing the shit teams in better timeslots even though they're still shitty and will result shitty ratings anyway.

There's been a lot of pundits question this 11 AM kick in passing, saying that when the RRS becomes a SEC game, it won't be a "only Losers play at 11 AM" game, implying that the RRS will be maximized as a primetime matchup.

Maybe the RRS won't be a primetime game, but it should be!

Even going back to 2:30 PM would be preferable to 11 AM Bullshit!

FUCK YORMARK!

FUCK MOBILEHOMA!

I don’t see TX/OU being night game. That’d 100% lead to some serious shenanigans

Neither school wants any part of a night game.  Between fans drinking literally all day and the less-than-desirable neighborhood that surrounds the Cotton Bowl you KNOW something bad (and newsworthy) would happen in some form.  Never mind the drunks driving away from FairPark at 1am.
