Damn, that was the first time I have ever heard the suggestion that Texas and Bama on one loss could usurp FSU on an undefeated record. That makes me feel really good that Texas will absolutely jump Oregon if Bama, Texas, and Oregon all finish the season on one loss.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/draft2024/insider/story/_/id/38381720/2024-nfl-draft-rankings-mel-kiper-big-board-top-prospects-position-best-players

Spoiler

Top 25 picks:

1. Caleb Williams, QB, USC
6-foot-1, 215 pounds | Previously ranked: 1

2. Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
6-4, 205 pounds | Previously: 2

3. Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
6-4, 225 pounds | Previously: 3

4. Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
6-4, 240 pounds | Previously: 4

5. Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
6-3, 215 pounds | Previously: 7

6. Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
6-2, 215 pounds | Previously: 5

7. Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
6-6, 319 pounds | Previously: 6

8. Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
6-4, 215 pounds | Previously: 8

9. Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
6-0, 200 pounds | Previously: 9

10. Laiatu Latu, OLB, UCLA
6-5, 265 pounds | Previously: 11

11. Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa
6-1, 207 pounds | Previously: 10

12. Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
6-8, 315 pounds | Previously: 12

13. Dallas Turner, OLB, Alabama
6-4, 242 pounds | Previously: 13

14. Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington
6-4, 317 pounds | Previously: 14

15. Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas
6-1, 172 pounds | Previously: 15

Worthy is an electrifying player with the ball in his hands. His quickness and movement in space reminds me a little bit of Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, who starred at Oklahoma and was a first-round pick in 2019. Worthy is tall but very thin. He can fly by cornerbacks on vertical routes and take the top off the defense. He had 60 catches for 760 yards and nine scores last season and has 59 catches for 757 yards and four touchdowns this season.

His biggest problem last season? Catching the ball. He had 10 drops in 2022 -- he also dealt with a hand injury, to be fair -- but he has been more consistent this season, with five on 89 targets. Worthy also could be a dynamic punt returner at the next level.

16. Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
6-1, 195 pounds | Previously: 16

17. Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma
6-7, 327 pounds | Previously: 17

18. Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia
6-0, 180 pounds | Previously: 18

19. JC Latham, OT, Alabama
6-6, 360 pounds | Previously: 19

20. Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
6-2, 185 pounds | Previously: 20

21. T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas
6-4, 362 pounds | Previously: 21

I've been impressed with Sweat's improvement this season, as he has shown he's more than a plugger along the interior of the defensive line. He has put some excellent pass-rush moves on tape, and he's a disruptive force in run and pass situations. He has just two sacks this season, but he affects the pocket. Sweat is very quick for his size. He dominates offensive linemen at the point of attack; it's impossible for one player to move him off his spot.

Some will question the value of a 360-pound defensive tackle in the first round, but I just really like the player and think he could help an NFL defense in any situation.

22. Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
6-1, 205 pounds | Previously: 22

23. Jer'Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois
6-2, 295 pounds | Previously: 23

24. Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona
6-5, 325 pounds | Previously: 24

25. Zak Zinter, G, Michigan
6-6, 322 pounds | Previously: 25

Bobby said this morning that a starting player who many thought would leave informed the staff he plans to come back. I assume it meant leave for the nfl. And I’m positive he wasn’t referring to Quinn

On offense that is Majors, maaaayyybbee Sanders but I doubt it. On defense I don’t even know. Watts? Catalon? Collins or Carter maybe but they aren’t starters.

I’m going Majors just because the idea of leaving early in the first place was puzzling.

I was thinking Majors or Sanders on offense but what CTJ has said about Sanders leads me to believe it's not him.

On defense I could see it being Murphy or Watts?

I don’t see how Murphy can not declare at this point. He’s not going to grow three inches over the next year and his draft stock is essentially at its peak

Yeah, I'll be surprised to see Murphy return.  He and Sweat are 2 of the top DTs in CFB for 2023.
