If you have the ball at midfield and need one first down to win and give the ball back to the other team you deserve to lose

Man I missed some PAC 12 after dark. Stanford is terrible, it strains credulity that anyone could blow a 29-0 lead against them.

The funniest is seeing the Stanford guys hold up their hands as if they were showing the fancy watch as QB Sanders did last week.

This was worth the watch.  I admit to giving up at half and hitting the rack.  Regardless of today's games, this one will be one the best game played this weekend.

Holy shit. I have Covid so went to bed early and just woke up and saw this. Shoulda realized from Thursday nights WVU loss you can’t sleep on college football. Anything can happen.

Shocking that the team coached by the most arrogant prick on the planet is undisciplined.

That can’t be a thing

Wow, what happened to Tree? I remember the days we always sweated it out when a recruit we offered got some attention from Stanford.

Brief answer: Not enough guys qualify academically, which makes their available player pool very small. That in turn makes their portal use near-zero which is often described as a death knell these days.

Unsubstantiated rumors:  PED's dating back to Harbaugh's tenure (which has presumably stopped)

The counter argument to that has been improved strength and conditioning regimens, cryo beds and whatever scientific crap Stanford could engineer to improve the body's healing and regeneration. I dunno. Maybe that is possible but I'm not really buying it unless there was just an across-the-board misunderstanding of healing and regeneration in the country and Stanford made major breakthrough's of some kind.

Best part to me is the girl.  She's prolly embarrassed by this and is like "what should I do?"  Her football knowledge prolly begins and ends with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Yeah that has to be gambling related. No way anyone cares that much about CU football yet.

It’s almost like - and hear me out cause this is a crazy hot take - a lack of depth and talented players on defense caused them to absolutely wear down after 4 games into the season.

But, he's building something or whatnot.

Look, to win 4 games after what they were last year is an accomplishment, but shit....people were losing their damn minds over Colorado and Deion.   That defense wasn't good from day 1.

People will cling to that but it's not such a huge accomplishment to turn a record around in the portal era. It was already being done last year by others.

Why in the fuck are people shocked that colorado sucks

BuT thEy BeAt a RAnKeD TeaM, tHo!!

Meanwhile, a bunch of us told anybody who'd listen that they were gonna lose 5+ games this year.  That 3-0 start was against two dogs and one wildly overrated team.  Deion has a future in coaching, but people talking Pac-12 contender and Heisman trophy were out of their damned minds.

He is going to stick for a few years for sure but the game management in the 2nd half was somewhere on the level of ineptitude of Fisher, Freeman, and Cristobal. All 4 are good recruiters but are F grade coaches during games. It will get ugly as soon as next year if they don't replace Shadeur with a Heisman caliber QB.

You know how incredibly hard it is to blow a 29+ point 2nd half lead without turning the ball over? Not sure if it's happened since we got this gem of a gif

Just running the dive, playing off coverage to force the other team to take 3-4 minute drives, and milking the clock right out of the gate should get you the W. What a disaster.

Looking at that schedule, I’m not sure I see another win except maybe Arizona.

The problem with CU is they cannot run the football or play defense. Bad combination. Their games are pretty much all on Sanders right arm. They rushed 227 times for 604 yards. To put that in perspective Brooks has run 108 times for 704 yards by his damn self. Sanders popped a 38 yard run and they only had 132 yards rushing. Lol

If there's one thing we love in America more than building someone up, it's tearing them down again.  Deion may be a top 10 all time NFL player and turned around a HBCU on the back of his swagger and reputation as a player, but he is nothing special as a coach.  Congrats from going from 12th in the Pac-12 to (checks notes) 10th in the Pac-12.  Let's see how far that swagger goes once you lose your all-star QB son.  I guarantee Deion "retires" from coaching once his sons are done.  This is just a vehicle to highlight them, nothing more.  If a few other kids like Travis Hunter are able to use their shine to improve Deion's and Shadeur's rep, he's good with that.  Grifter gonna grift, then ride outta town with his middle finger held high blaming the administration and everyone else while lauding his son as the best thing ever.
