mostly i just think British food must be quite bland lol

British food is fucking awful. You could do a pretty solid YT channel of various people reacting to British food, but all the reactions would be the same disgust.

i watch a lot of masterchef, and it’s hilarious whenever they have the three judges prepare their favorite dish, and joe has a beautiful risotto, arron does an unbelievable cajun dish, and then gordon does his fucking beef wellington. basically roast beef slathered in mustard as a giant pig-in-a-blanket. that’s the best his country has to offer. gross.

Spent a few weeks in the UK so as usual on most every other thread, I don't know shit.  I did have a damn fine fish/chips at a cafeteria from one of the boys academies we visited.  In London, I did have the best veal Bolognese I've ever had, but that was not a native dish.  All the breakfast dishes were crap.  Fuck your baked beans.  A good Shepherds pie is hard to beat and of course beef wellington is decent when done properly.  It might be the only steak I had that wasn't overcooked.  Indian dishes slammed hard, but again, not native.

My British colleague that lives in Houston now for about 2 years says he loves a lot of Texas food but the one things he can't find is a good chippy tea with a proper sausage. Says Texans don't do sausage with a shit. First thing he does when he lands back at Heathrow is hit a chippy tea place.

There's just no explanation for some things.

One of my favorite spots in NOLA.  Fried chicken is incredible.  Far too few references to it on the New Orleans Food and Drink Thread.

I prefer the Tribal People Try videos. It's unfortunate some of the food they subject them to like Coulter's BBQ.

I guess this proves my English ancestry cuz I've always thought Girl Scout cookies were terribad and Thin Mints to be the absolute worst.

the sweet tea is a crime against humanity, as is claiming to represent the rest of non-psychopath americans when it comes to making tea.

My kid’s troop is in Colorado right now, paid for by cookie sales. Actually, fall product sales are the big money maker. The troop gets 40% of those sales vs $1/box for cookies.

Check out the Best Damned Food Review Show. It’s arguably the best travel food show on the internet. It’s a dude from Minnesota traveling and eating. He’s based in Vietnam so it’s Asia heavy but he’s done every continent. He even has a sub channel just for India. He tries some truly amazing and some horrific food.

We’ll call it Undefeated Eatin’ because even when it’s just ok, it’s still food.

40+ fat dudes eating their way across the English countryside. Drinking beer. Maybe fightin’. Talking shit and baggin homely British broads.

How many stops? About tree fiddy.

A true tour de farce.
