In July (after super 2 is over- minor concern but not nothing) as an opportunity to get his feet wet before taking on a bigger role next year? Sure, that makes sense.

Super 2 for a 25 year old non-prospect. You are fucking delusional.

Cool. I would hate to have Chas for another year if we would have called him up in July instead of starting the season with us. That would have totally sucked you are so right.
and by all means be a fuckstick and ignore the part where I said minor concern but not nothing.

That is amazing, like a girl so ugly you can't look away

That’s improvement!  He was 1/11 with 7 k’s at one  time- so he was warming up and hitting his stride.

Well mark him off....going to the Rangers

That's a great deal for them, especially after seeing some of those awful 1 year 8-12m deals given out earlier. He was good last year, but I'm surprised his value dipped that low. It's cheap enough that they could flip him at the deadline for a low end prospect if they regress to their norm of not making the playoffs.

I get that Loperfido may not get consistent bats, but I don't know how you don't keep him on the big club. He's proved everything he can in spring training. You gotta see if can translate to the regular season.

Who’s still in the running/ what spots do we have open?

I’m really worried it’ll be singleton because options… if it were Dusty still here, that would definitely happen. Hopefully Espada is smarter than that (and if not, that brown has more backbone than he’s shown in the past)

I think Baltimore will win the East with about 98-100 wins, just like last year. Tampa still has a good team with an excellent pitching staff, so that division will be a hell of a fight.

I'm not sure how the Central will go, I don't think any team in that division got much better this off-season. Probably going to come down to injuries between Cleveland and Minny again, and if either bails at the deadline to sell assets for prospects.

The Astros winning another division title by 10+ games would be nice. Going into the playoffs resting everyone for the last few games is a huge advantage. Let's hope it goes as planned and we can make it 9 ALCS appearances in a row.

like how many batters did Nolan strikeout in his career?

that number should be sacred to any baseball fan in Texas

A better one would have been “who did Nolan strikeout to break the then all-time K record (which the Astros tie-in)

gonna kick myself when I hear this one but can’t think of it. Probably someone at the end of one decide and beginning of the 3rd. Feel like late 60s, 70s, early 80s.

most hr’s the past 5 years, besides aaron judge, name two of top 4

thats tough. No idea. Freeman? Stanton?

edit: nope. Alonso, Olson (thought about him), schwarber, Ohtani (and him)
