I feel good about Lance's ability to travel to Florida too.

Umm.. Are we sure he can lift his carry on bag into the overhead compartment without going on a 9 month DL stint?

Astros will probably have 13 pitchers during the season for 2024

Starters 6:
-Justin Verlander
-Framber Valdez (LHP)
-Cristian Javier
-Hunter Brown
-Jose Urquidy
-JP France

Relievers 7:
-Josh Hader (LHP)
-Ryan Pressly
-Bryan Abreu
-Rafael Montero
-Bennett Sousa (LHP)
-?????
-?????

The last two spots could go to Dylan Coleman, Forrest Whitley, Oliver Ortega, Seth Martinez, Brandon Bielak or Ronel Blanco (who are all on the 40-man. All but Bielak have options available this year.)

Drew Strotman was recently signed to a minor league contract and is a player to watch if he has a great spring training.

Bielak and Whitley and call it a spring.  I like Martinez just fine if any of the others come up lame.  Blanco is fine at the back end of the line if Sousa, Montero, and the other guys suck/get hurt.  Dylan Coleman might be interesting if he's fully healthy.

never thought I'd be sad to lose Maton, but he had his best career year 2023.  Damn.

Losing Neris is unforgivable.  Thanks Montrero overpaid contract!!

Trading Kenny Lofton for Ed Taubensee is unforgivable.

Losing Neris is whatever. His results were good last year, but the underlying metrics suggest the regression is coming.

This-it wouldn’t be a shock at all to see Montero have a better year.

Should have brought Dusty a lineup card showing Chas and Yainer starting. "Sign it, Dusty! Sign it just to prove you know how!"

Maybe that explains why Dusty declined to sign my line up card memorabilia.

I've grown to like them more over the years. I now think they are at worst the third best behind the Tequila Sunrises and Tequila Shoulders.

They're better than Uncle Drayton's red/black/pinstripe bullshit but behind every orange and navy iteration from the beginning theough today.

It’s a travesty the two guys that went into the Hall as an Astro have that brick red star on the plaque

(and probably a third if Wagner gets in next year).

These are the best:

These are the worst:

I didn’t like the 90s ones because they got rid of orange; that was dumb. Going to red and black was even weirder and it sucked. Fucking Drayton.

The current ones are kinda boring but they’re navy and orange and the old logo so I like them. I wish they’d bring back the orange caps though:

Rainbow ones were good.

Yeah, I like the all orange much better than both two-tone varieties that are still official alternates
