There is going to be a 4 to 5 billion expansion fee. 2 new teams would put 8-10 billion in the current owners pockets. It’s a strange time to sell the team.

Cuban also stepping down from Shark Tank. Now this. Is there an undisclosed health problem? Cuban has never been shy of being on camera.

Cuban sold his majority stake to buy political influence to bring the world's first destination sports betting mega complex to Dallas.

The Adelson family sold 10% of their stake in LVS to buy into a vision that would catapult the Sands Group into the world's foremost transactor of sports gambling.

Both parties think they're buying in to 1920s Las Vegas.

The Mavs have mostly been winning against teams without a pulse, but it's always nice to take down the Lakers.  I don't know how they managed it with most of the team injured, but I'll take it.  The West is just brutally evenly matched.  I can see Dallas finishing anywhere from 2 to 12.  Realistically, the 6-seed feels about right, but so much depends on which teams can get healthy and play to their potential.

Beth Mowins and whoever her partner is are terrible. They don't add insight and all they do is call out a player's name as they touch the ball.

How was the foul on booker not a flagrant? He hit Grant on the head.

LOL.  Her broadcasting made me miss the game.  When I turned it on and saw the two announcers, I put it on mute, which led me to immediately fall asleep.  Thanks a lot Mowins.

that's funny.  i tried watching it on mute but started nodding off so i turned the audio back on.  i started pretending i was at the game and they were phoenix fans sitting a row behind me and that i was eavesdropping on their conversation.  that made it a little better.

I think this is a power play by Cuban and the Adelsons to use the Mavs as a threat to the Texas legislature to get a real casinos in TX vote oh the books sooner rather than later.  Threatening to move the Mavs to Vegas (they won’t).  Then when Vegas gets an expansion team, the Adelsons will be the owners of that franchise and will sell their rights to the Mavs back to Cuban (with Dirk as minority investor).

He thinks franchise values are topping out.

kyrie was special on offense last night but man... our team defense was *so* good.  esp luka and kyrie.  dwight powell also impacted the game in a major way with his constant energy.  he was also huge playing the pivot on the FT line and making the right and timely pass almost every time. i don't know if we get the same result with lively at this point in his career.  i'm glad he saw what that looks like.

I just can’t take this team seriously. Maybe it’s Kidd, maybe it’s just battered fan syndrome. But losses like tonight are  just inexcusable.

Kidd is a .500 coach.  it doesn't matter what players you give him.

It’s not unreasonable to think he should have been fired last year for completely missing the play-in game with 2 top 15 players in the league. Roster issues aren’t really his fault, but there are major red flags that have been there and that are still there.

A coach needs to improve his team to more than the sum of its parts otherwise what's the point of having a coach. Jason Kidd does not do that and he clearly does not strive to do that. He seeks to be the team's emotional ballast but this young group needs much more than that.

It’s a shame there wasn’t any history on him to see this coming.

I'm shocked that a Jason Kidd-led team came out after 5 days of rest and practice only to play like absolute trash against a team playing their 3rd game in 4 nights. I think I read somewhere the Mavs are like 1-3 vs teams on their 2nd night of a back-to-back.

boston played good 1v1 defense and didn't double unless it was in the paint and the ballhandler had picked up his dribble.  our only offensive gameplan was get out and run.  when that wasn't available we defaulted to hero ball.  on nights like this i wonder if luka appreciates rick carlisle a little bit more.
