There is zero reason Georgia should get in over Texas if they lose this game.

We have a conference championship and they don't. We have a #13 SOS and they have the #61 SOS. We have more top 25 wins. This isn't even fucking close.

Agreed. Our only issue is Bama ahead of us if FSU wins. Georgia is in no matter what if they win though so roll tide.

Yeah but if Georgia wins the SEC definitely gets 1 team in. This scenario gives a much more likely chance of the SEC not getting a team in.

I still can't see the committee putting Bama in over Texas due to H2H.

Either Bama hangs in to win and we get in to or Georgia comes back and we then get into a conversation of who is more worthy between us and FSU if they win.

I think if bama wins and we win the question shifts from if we should get in over FSU to if Bama should get in over FSU.

This is absolutely how it should be in a vacuum. But leaving the SEC out is a tough pillow for the committee to bite.

This isn't even fucking close.

This is correct.

Right, so FSU gets left out even if they win. It feels like that is the committees excuse to keep FSU out, it’s not Texas who would sit at 3, it’s Bama and the SEC that kept FSU out.

FSU qb is out... they will have to start their 3rd string true freshman? Is that right?

Correct. Hopefully Louisville makes everything in here moot. They have no excuse not to at this point.

I hope all of you are listening to halftime.

Yep, that Oregon loss and our performance today has shifted everything the media is talking about in our favor.

So are we seeing a backlash of the supposed SEC fatigue? Too often its been Bama or UGA and very simply with the makeup of this committee, it would be the perfect time for them to freeze out the SEC if they have a chance

I sure hope some of you are doing a bit.  The alternative is that the amount of dumb in this thread is dangerously close to TexAgs levels.  If you want Texas to make it into the CFP, there is zero reason to root for Georgia to win.  Zero.

so is the committee.  the actual football can take care of their complete failure to understand actual football.

GA can’t be rewarded with a loss and they can’t be above Bama. And Bama can’t be above Texas.

If this score holds, the only way GA and/or Bama is above Texas, is if there is an unwritten rule the SEC always gets in.

Pro Texas chatter sure seems to be getting pretty loud.

I'm trying to come up with a way for us to play FSU in the semis. I suppose if Georgia and Michigan both lost, it would look like 1. Washington 2. FSU 3 Texas 4. Bama?

But Michigan isn't going to lose.

There isn’t such a rule?  I thought it was actually a written one.  Huh.

Possible, but it wouldn't be at our expense.

What other irrational fears do you have?

Early in this thread I advocated that there was a tiny chance Texas got in over an undefeated FSU.  But as many point out, that was the wrong comparison. Texas would be the 3 seed so they would put Bama in over FSU. That definitely could happen.

I was you earlier this week and @Red Five kinda convinced me otherwise over the course of his posts... and recent tweets following our win. I think if Bama wins, they could pull us into the playoffs. If Louisville wins, it won't matter.
