I wish I could find the original source for these videos to avoid giving these accounts clicks but didn't have any luck.

It's a steamy crack.

This one is an interview right next the damn thing in English.

I saw this happen in Ghostbusters.  Are we sure this isn't Gozer related?

What to Know About Iceland’s Volcano Eruption and Possible Flight Disruptions - The New York Times (nytimes.com)

Most recent article I could find.  Seems like it's not as dire as once feared even if it does erupt.  They don't even expect flight delays if it erupts.  I knew Iceland had a bunch of volcanos, but not 130 of them with most of them active.  It's just a matter of time.

BBC says this one isn't going to have a big impact on flight operations.

Italy has a Naples volcano (not Vesuvius) that has been acting up lately.  https://www.firstpost.com/explainers/a-supervolcano-in-italy-is-waking-up-should-we-be-concerned-13377742.html

Campi Flegrei is considered to be much more dangerous than Vesuvius.

And to no surprise, Italy does not have a great evacuation plan in case of an immediate eruption.

Also happening in Naples Italy but not Mt Vesuvius, the other side of Naples is a huge caldera that has been having hundreds of earthquakes a week.

It's also very densely populated with neighborhoods inside/on the caldera.
