hadn’t heard about this part of Texas history until a month or so ago reading Stephen Harrigan’s Big Wonderful Thing…and now see this:

Justice, albeit much too late for the men who needed it. We have a shitload more chapters like this to reckon with.

I am torn. I get the feel good response for over turning injustice, but to do so after so long sometimes seems like a whitewashing of our historical bad behaviors. And it serves as a reminder that the courts do not equal justice no matter what veneer they try to put on.
