Man the lap one stuff I put on Lando. Clearly has a huge issues there all the way around and has all year / his career.

If the goal is to tell PIA to tske it easy on lap 1 in that situation then that's horrific team management.

Yeah & I didn't see anything wrong with Piastri's move. Looked very clean to me. Nobody should expect Paistri to roll right over, esp when he's starting on the front row. That situation was nothing like what happened earlier in the season.

Did they say why TSU went out? Was it because of the MAG contact?

They didn't say, but I assume that was why. As soon as MAG nailed his sidepod I fugured he was done. Or was that Hulk who hit him?

I’m not a Ferrari fan, but who’s not down for a Ferrari win at Monza? Scenes.

And Oscar seems better than Lando.

My boy and I were talking about how cool it is to see Ferrari win at Monza, and also win in WEC on the same day. And yeah, we were also talking about Piastri. That kid has it.

Alonso said he likes their trajectory. And Alonso is the best. So it must be true because you can't argue against Alonso.

I do like Alonso, generally speaking, but he ain't winning shit in that seat.

He wasn't talking about this year. There are a lot of reasons to be very optimistic about AM's future. They gave up on this car before the break. All in on next year's car, with a lot of new engineering talent, a new factory, and a new wind tunnel ... and hopefully Newey as the cherry on top.

He thought the same about Alpine, too.

Cmon, somebody put this old dog in a good car 😪😪😪

I thought Lando got off pretty decently this time for a change. Oscar really had to jam his way in there, forcing Norris to brake.

If you watch Oscar's onboard, I don't know how you tell him to not go for it right there.  Lando left the door open.

Was watching the podium ceremony with my youngest and we both agreed that seeing a Ferrari win at Monza would be fun as hell.  Neither of us are Ferrari fans.

It's Lando, there's always an opening on the first lap.  The announcers were doing some serious wishcasting before the race talking about how his practice starts looked good.

Idk how he still has this big of an issue with starts for this long.

Looks like many people have been looking at the flexing in terms of how much the end of the wing drops, but that might have been the wrong thing to look at. Looks to me like the wings are twisting rather than just drooping ... allowing them to  run higher downforce than normal while stalling the wing at speed on the straights. Aston Martin got smacked down last year for basically the same thing. Apparently it's ok now though. I wonder what changed?

I believe the entire nose on the AM was bending, not just the wing elements.

I never heard anything like that, rather just that their wing was flexing downward toward the ends. Either way, it's illegal, just as this is. But now it's ok.

It was allegedly some rubbery/flexible mounts of the wing elements to the nose itself. These mounts then flexed instead of the actual wing elements flexing.

Yeah I remember it being mostly if not entirely rumor derived from interpreting the technical directive about it. The theory was that they had some kind of illegal device that skirted the rules and the FIA quietly told them to cut it out, and then later issued a rule clarification that also said several teams were working on similar concepts. The bottom line is that the teams were skirting the rules and the test to get their wing to stall at speed and allow them to run higher downforce as a consequence, while still passing the deflection test. Been done repeatedly over the years, resulting in rule clarifications walking them back. Until now. They're still skirting the rules and the test now - designing the wing in such a way that it passes the test but still breaks the rule, twisting and dropping at speed, stalling the wing. But now it's ok.

Yep. Ferrari and RB wanted this shot down so they don’t have to develop it, but both have said they’ll have a new wing by COTA since the FIA isn’t doing anything. Could be a big performance jump for both seeing what it did for Merc and McLaren.

Hope Piastri tells them to fuck off, but he won't.  His turn one move was fantastic last race, and shouldn't be stifled for a whiny midget with porn stache stubble
Can't put a reason to it, but never liked Lando

Agreed on both counts. But in reality, they'll just undercut Oscar instead of making him give way.

I agree, but Lando has the best chance. Oscar could have just as easily been in this spot if he had beat Lando more earlier in the season.
