The Boys S4

Okay, change it to I believe it is a direct result of those things. I'm not going to engage further in the discussion. We have very different lived online experiences, as do women celebrities compared to their masc counterparts, and I've been around long enough to know this isn't going to go anywhere fruitful.

Just to be clear, you “read between the lines” and you “believe” that Erin Moriarty had cosmetic surgery because of criticism from incel idiots on the internet, and then you reported it here as a hard truth? I still don’t see any evidence to support that claim.

I agree that internet bullying is a problem, and there’s a reasonable discussion to be had about that somewhere, but we don’t need to create false narratives in this thread to achieve that.

He was guessing. HVAC ducts are coated with rust resistant zinc, which Homelander can't see through.

If any of the nerds in the writers room were aware of this I’d be shocked and applaud them for that detail

Erin Moriarty's extensive plastic surgery is a direct result of all the loser chud "fans" of the show who relentlessly bullied her online about her looks and not being sexy enough. Take your ire out on those pieces of shit and not the victim of the situation

WTF? I thought she was incredibly cute and sexy during the first couple of seasons.

Just finished episode 4.  I’m not sure I can watch this shit anymore.  I feel like I’m sitting in front of a computer streaming the worst part Of twitter on one monitor and gore porn on the other.  Besides, Starlight looks like shite now.

I liked that episode a lot. Honestly, I am rooting for homelander. He is by far the best character on the show and, well, fuck everyone.

It's hard to directly root for him, because he is a complete monster with absolute power, but it's also hard not to feel sorry for him at least. Mainly because his psychological damage was manufactured by those who sought to control him rather than nurture him. I will admit that I was rooting for him to kill everyone in that room and I wasn't disappointed.

Yeah, I know I shouldn’t root for bad guys, but do we really need another show where the good guys save the day? The show is so dark and cynical to begin with.

Regardless, the homelander scenes are the best part about the show by far. Starr is the best actor of the lot and his character is by far the most interesting. In the last episode I was just waiting for it to cut back to homelander. Everything else feels like filler. I really couldn’t give two shits about Frenchie or Kimiko and their side quests, or Hughie’s dad, who has been in like two scenes. Give me psycho Superman.

Yeah the nadir of this season was Hughie and Kimiko fighting...asian human trafficking gangsters? Errr... not good.  Also odd that MM was staunchly against Butcher re-joining the team, then suddenly did a 180 this episode.

The season really is a lot of just waiting to see who Homelander will turn to goo next, and how.

Even in this universe, it’s tough to see how homelander hasn’t gone full crazy and just killed everyone for any reason or no reason, instead of seething quietly still. I guess there’s a need to be loved that was established, but they’ve already shown and had him say that no matter what he does they cheer for him.

Good foreshadowing!

Yall have convinced me to cheer for Homelander from here on out. And maybe for Butcher to kill Homelander in the end, since he’s the only semi-likeable member of The Boys left.

I'm sorry, but having seen those photos of Erin Moriarty topless and those small, perfect breasts ...I am going to have to disagree with you here.

I was told there would be no maths.  But, your maths suck.

User rating has been basically rendered worthless by review bombing.

It's not bad, but it's meandering and I don't disagree with @bschoolprof

Perhaps, but the audience rating has gone slowly down for each season 1-3, which seems accurate, before cratering this season, which also kinda rings true.

I did enjoy the barnyard spectacle though. It was wild and quite funny. The rest of the episode was sorta meh. I can’t decide if I dislike the character of Ryan or the actor playing him more.

I’ve never been into MCU, X Men, and other superhero/mutant worlds, so I’m not up on the rules for all of these abilities and powers. When Hughie teleports using Temp V, he is either rendered naked or has to undress himself. His clothing doesn’t make the trip. When Hughie’s dad “phased” through walls and people, the hospital gown was also imbued with the same ability from the Compound V injection and made the trip with him. Is there an established difference between the rules for teleportation and phasing, is it lazy writing, or is it just “doesn’t matter, enjoy the show about shit that isn’t real?”

I know that we've all accepted that there are morons out there that will review bomb, but isn't it just as likely for superfans / the production company to do the opposite? If aggy could have that robot thing do it for them back in the day for the voting mess, who's to say that Amazon / Disney / Netflix, etc. don't do it?
