"You know, I don't think this whole 'Wheel of Fortune' thing is gonna pan out. I'm gonna go interview losers dishing on their lousy dates."

Pat Sajak should build a shrine to Chuck's stupidity.

NBC and Merv Griffin are who screwed Chuck out of the Wheel of Fortune gig. Chuck asked for a raise to what Richard Dawson and Bob Barker were making.  Griffin agreed to pay most, and NBC said they'd cover the rest.  But Griffin threatened to move WoF to CBS, then NBC pulled their offer.  After that, Woolery's contract wasn't renewed.

Politics aside (I dont care for either Chuck or Pat), but Chuck was a far better host than Pat.

You can PM me if you would like. I'm just curious since I know nothing about him.

Yes, he was very outspoken, and not in a context that I would support or appreciate, but that shouldn't matter.

Dude is gone and, at the end of the day, I hope we are judged for more than merely how we voted or the rhetoric we supported.

Social media or did he write editorials or appear on Fox? I don't think I've seen him or heard from him in probably 30 years.

Saw where Earl Holliman passed away at 96.

That dude had a helluva career. Didn't know he was gay, nttawwt. One of his first roles on film was alongside Lee Van Cleef in The Big Combo where they played gay hitmen. Pretty salty roles to slip by censors of the day.

Growing up Holliman was one of those guys that you recognized on many tv shows or older movies. I distinctly recall him as the cook on forbidden planet. He asked Robby the robot to duplicate his pint of Kentucky bourbon. Robby came back with many pints.

I also believe he was the star of the twilight zone debut episode. Lived to 96.
