42 year old war photographers can be hot as fuck.  Especially if they are Kirsten Dunst.  They had her out there like Charlize in Monster.

I think your mind has been warped by internet porn.

Watched it last night. Visuals and sound were fantastic. Story was meh. Overall kinda disappointing. Towards the end was checking to see how much time was left in the movie.

The Plemons scene was the best in the movie.

Apparently the actor who was supposed to play that part had to cancel and JP was around so he just subbed in. Dunno if that’s true but it’s a good story.

This is my beef with it. Although, I'll say that I actually enjoyed the movie, I just wasn't satisfied with the story/writing/lukewarm message.

I think it was really well made and the sounds/shots (visuals)/acting were all great. Kirsten Dunst was great, Wagner Moura is a G. I just don't like that they teased "Civil War" in the leadup, to deliver a movie that had a lot to say about "war" as a concept, and nothing about the "Civil" part that was the teaser to get people into the seats. War takes a toll on the humanity of everyone around? Yes, I think we've been shown that in much better ways with more deeper and thorough storytelling. I've seen many of the greats, and there have been more than a handful over the decades. Did we just need a reminder that in-fighting will also lead to a lack of humanity? I can just log on to twitter to see that.

Perhaps the title civil war, given that it is an oxymoron, is a clue. War is decidedly uncivil, even when it comes to journos who are just trying to document and report it.

Elaborating on the above, I think people expected something political and some aspects of it dovetail with the current environment, but I don't think that was particularly intentional.

Yes, it is about a civil war in some respects, but more about observers of it than participants/combatants, or the war itself.

Therefore, I think the title is a double-entendre.

If there's a big criticism, it might be on character development on those observers.  I suppose the development of the Spaeny character was supposed to reflect the development of the Dunst and Moura characters, as well as perhaps the Henderson character (in sort of an opposite way).

This is how I took a lot of the initial criticism I saw - “How dare Hollywood make a movie about Civil War in the US and not make a statement that aligns with my political ideology.”
