2024 Texas High School Football

Springtown is 8-1, hasn't allowed a point in the last 5 games and their only loss was 21-20 to Joshua...

It was tongue in cheek, and Fud will know that.

But I am curious how many Springtown games you’ve seen? Joshua is 4-4 on the year, and the last 5 opponents aren’t anything I would crow about holding scoreless.

I’ve seen every Springtown game this year with the exception of Diamond Hill. Graham being ranked #5 after getting mollywhopped by them and then putting Springtown at #19 is certainly interesting.

I was like, ‘ Damn ole Hulett still has some work to do!’  Lol

Have not seen any of their games.  Sarcasmometer/ tongue-in-cheek detector was off on my previous comment.

Just aware of the HC back to his high school days, and general football competitiveness.

Brian is great people. I live in the area, and with Fud being a hoity toity Aledo honk I was just having some fun. Springtown D has consistently been what takes them deep, and it looks like the offense can keep up as well. I’m also puzzled by the thrashing Springtown gave Graham not leading to a better ranking. If Graham is so hot, then I’m not sure how you don’t account for that game. This Friday against Decatur should be tough even with Decatur being down by their standards.

I was at the Graham/Springtown game. It was a massacre. Especially the first half. After that game, I figured .500 record at best this season.

At that time, I didn’t realize how weak Graham’s schedule was. I live three blocks from the school, and skipped the last two games because the competition has been so bad and games so boring.

I will be there Friday. I expect Brock to name the score. But I’m hoping for an exciting game.

I agree with everyone saying Graham shouldn’t be #5. Only team they have played with a pulse beat them.

In our neighborhood today, I saw someone with a local high school "Playoff" t-shirt on.  I started laughing, as I knew the school had yet to win a District game and generally sucks.  Oh yeah, they are in a 4 team District, so they automatically make the playoffs.  Then I looked at whom might be the 1 seed from their next District over.  It got worse from there. The other District has 4 wins in 32 games, and 2 of those were last week when District play started.

The four teams are:

Denver City 1-7( 1-0)  with 118 PF and 298 PA

Lamesa(  2-6( 1-0) with 312 PF and 378 PA

Brownfield 0-8( 0-1) with 53 PF and 372 PA

Kermit 1-7( 0-1) with 170 PF and 331 PA

That's just fucking bad.

Del valle doesn’t have a sophomore team so westlake sophomores traveled to wimberly to face their JV.

place feels right out of Friday night lights. Wimberly freshmen just beat smithville’s 42-8. Going to be fun.

Just got to walk my senior son off the field for senior night. Got a little dusty. Best part of playing at House Park is now I can walk to Tavern for a pregame “Thirsty Goat”.

Let’s go AHS. Beat Bowie.

Azle started 6-0 and then end 3/4 weeks against teams that should be playing beyond Thanksgiving weekend. Denton Ryan beat them 62-26, they beat Granbury (who hasn’t), currently putting up a fight against Aledo 0-56 at half, and then finish with Richland next week.

I’d be shocked if District 3 doesn’t sweep District 4 in Bi-District week.
