Hopefully none of the "too many teams make the playoffs" militia have seen the youth baseball thread and the 'championship ' rings 9, 10, and 11 year olds get for their valiant efforts in the 2024 Regional Last Chance Double Secret National Qualifier Select Extravaganza...there was technically a three way tie for second based on run differntial but since the rain wasn't stopping and it was 9:30 pm on Sunday the director really had no other choice but to declare everybody the winner. Oh well there's always next weekend in Orlando. Their private hitting coach said with a few extra lessons he'll be a shoo-in to make Jv as a sophomore at least. If not then that coach is an idiot and you and the wife should probably bite the bullet and put him in that private school where his uncle coaches. You can always prioritize the 401k later.

Has anyone else seen those insane, 'THE TOP RANKED 11-YEAR QB IN AMERICA' videos on social media?

Upsets to look out for tonight:

PSJA North vs New Braunfels - PSJAN plays some serious smashmouth football, unicorns will have their hands full.

SA Johnson vs Lake Travis - the jaguars have as much offensive firepower as anyone LT has faced. Lorenn Johnson, Jaden Perez, Bryson Thompson, Elvis Estrada. They’re hungry for revenge after last year. If the game turns into a shootout, watch out for the jags.

Wanted to put Edinburg Vela-Smithson Valley on here, but I don’t see it happening.

I don’t have a lot of faith in my Eagles to pull this one out. Fullen was one of the best DC’s in the game for three decades, but his ability to field a competent offense has yet to happen.

Yeah, I think it mirrors last year's game and Aledo wins by 20+

Aledo doesn’t have near the offensive firepower they’ve had in the past. Losing a QB that was the fastest guy in the field many weeks has been hurting Aledo. This QB is slow and rarely takes off. Also losing Devon Keys (LSU LB) as a short yardage back is causing a struggle.

Hahha, I read this post to my wife who handles sports facilities rentals in our school district. She can’t stop laughing.

Westlake QB doing his best Quinn impression. Tipped pass for int on second play of game, two drive ending self sacks.
Westlake blocked a punt and got the ball at the 1 and took 3 plays to get in.
Other westlake scoring drive extended by roughing the holder.

Westlake defense is nails, really doubt Brennan will score without a fluke play of some sort

westlake up 14-0 at the half

Springtown vs sulphur springs in a game of who is more afraid of tackling. Ss up 28-25.

Who is the Qb Sulphur Springs had when they won state in the Alamo dome? Don’t remember him doing much if anything. I think he went to Auburn? Went and watched that game in person.

We’re doomed. Last time Aledo lost a playoff game was on this field.

My nephew played varsity baseball there for 3 years so I keep up with their football team during the season. I can remember the shock from him and my BIL when they lost. Was it in the 3rd round? I am thinking we were together at thanksgiving.

Tyrik Rollison?

Never played at Auburn, transferred a bunch of times and ended up playing at A&M-Commerce, which I guess I should call East Texas A&M now.

Got Drip/Harlan on. $12 for a month of NFHS for high school FB playoffs very worth it.

How are all those 6’5” Dripping players doing? And that stout #18 at RB. That dude put some bruises on my kid last week.
