I think he had already told them to pound sand.  Was convenient for bdork because No.1 item on the "How to Win the National Championship" list was "defensive minded head coach".

It was Billy Liucci face-saving bullshit. The whole Jimbo fiasco made them look like clowns and they could not and cannot afford to hire a great coach. They’re gambling on Chris Farley.

So I'm out here on the west coast watching the late night replay on ESPN.  I remember in the 80's and 90's they would "Due to time constraints we're moving ahead in this game" and show us the entire god damned half time show.  Then somewhere in the early 2000's they figured that shit out and would give us more of the game and skip halftime, so you still might skip some plays but not as many.  Admittedly, I haven't watched replays like this in awhile because Texas has sucked, so how long have they been doing replays where you get 2-3 plays and then 5 minutes of commercials?  We're in 7:43 in the 3rd in the last 44 minutes, and I've seen no more than 3 plays between commercials in this whole fucking game.  WTF Is this bullshit?  I think we're going to get the whole god damned game in an hour, and 35 minutes of that hour at least will be commercials.

Just watched the highlights. That was fun. The swings of the pendulum were pretty awesome. It’s kind of fun watching games where I really don’t care who wins, other than the obligatory Fuck OU.

It's going to be interesting how OU fans perceive a 8-4 or 7-5 season next year. Completely new OL, new OC, and young QB.

Tennessee, @Auburn, Texas (neutral field), @Ole Miss, @ Missouri, Alabama, @ LSU. That's brutal.

That kid was a complete gum flapping bitch the entire game. Looked like Baker Mayfield running his mouth all over the field.

Those big fat checks from the conference come from somewhere.  This is the price we are going to have to pay.  Not saying it isn't aggravating and it most certainly sucks sitting through seemingly endless commercial breaks, but it is what it is.

I should have made a cup of coffee at halftime instead of turning the tv off and going to sleep.

Same.  Was nice to wake up to.

Y'all missed out. Just when OU was driving deep in enemy territory trying to put the game away, BAM! Wildcats with a 90 yard pick 6 to end the third quarter and the sooners absolutely collapsed! Out fucking standing!

My favorite part of the bowl season so far are the penalties for the b12 teams.

Cereally, OUsucks lineman had no idea what to do with their hands.

And it wasn't just pick 6, it was a pick 6 off a dropped pass that was dropped in the worse way possible, volley balled up into the air. Sooners absolutely choked that game away, and it was glorious. They probably could have just ran the ball from mid 3rd quarter on and won the game.

Residing in San Antonio, I had the pleasure of roaming the sidelines for this one.  For a game featuring OU and a PAC12/Future B12 opponent, there was an oddly excessive amount of "Horns Down" gestures throughout the evening.

Good to see Bob hasn’t fixed his jacked up pinky in his retirement.

fond memories of it flapping in the breeze while clapping on the OU sidelines.

That toy Samoan can ball out, though.   The TD throw with about 5 left was the koo di grass.

OU got called for holding probably 5 times and it could have been 10.   The refs missed blatant tackles throughout the game.  For some reason they finally started calling all of them in the fourth quarter.

Not just any young QB.  Definite flashes of Garrett Gilbert on the decision making front last night.  Yikes.

If I remember correctly, it was a helmet to the  ball that lead to that pick 6.  Arnold was obliterated on the return too.

So painful watching Arnold drop back over and over again and hop around in a perfect pocket for 8 seconds then scramble and throw an incomplete pass accompanied by a hold.
