So annoying when they brush off the assist man who served them up the goal on a platter.

If you want to go to the corner, then wave your teammate along to come with you, not avoid him like he’s a leper.

We got some ballaz. Just a matter of keeping them healthy and having a coach who can develop a strategy/system that maximizes their abilities and hides their deficiencies.

For the first time in many, many years, I feel like we might have that coach. But is there enough time for it all to come together?

I'd take 2-1 and be neutral about it. This team is far too talented (including the coach, finally) to be happy with a draw against anyone in Concacaf other than Mex at Azteca.

Our history in Jamaica isn't great and we're going to be without Balo, Weah, Adams, and Dest. I think it's going to be a pretty ugly game.

I hear ya - I'm hopeful we have a team that can (finally) overcome a few missing players and still take care of business like they should. Much like the true top national teams do.

This is the first game we will get to see how Poch is changing the culture of the USMNT. This type of game was one where GGG would play it safe and generally it would cost us big time.

This is the proper take - this team is too damn talented to play it safe. Against most of CONCACAF, it should always be attack attack attack. And we should win the bulk of these games.

we have plenty of talent to handily win this game and i expect us to do so, 4-1

i expect trusty to start at left center and be a revelation

i also expect normal concacrap shenanigans to be in remission - any jamaican player that has any hope of a european payday won't dare commit assault on a multi-million-pound/euro asset in front of a coach connected to the top echelons of european football across the continent

The Reggae Boyz in general do not resort to the level of shithousery often attributed to many other CONCACAF members.

A 4-1 win in Kingston would be shockingly pleasant. I'll be happy with an aggressive, productive attack and a defense that stays organized for a full 90.

I so want to be excited about USMNT again, following them since the last World Cup has been an absolute beating.  It’s sapped all the fun out of it.   Here’s to tonight being the beginning of the turnaround, but I’m pretty skeptical that will be the case.

So I was kind of curious about this, so I looked it up:

US has 20 wins, 3 losses and 10 draws overall. Weirdest thing is that we've only played them in matches since 1988.

Of those 33 matches, only 10 are in Jamaica. US record: 3 wins, 1 loss, 6 draws.

Not great, but not awful.

Those results by year:

1988 D
1994 W
1997 D
1999 D
2001 D
2003 W
2004 D
2012 L
2013 W
2021 D

LOL this pitch is a joke.

Fucking bush league organization.

Why the USA does NOT practice on a pitch with the exact same grass and/or long cut in Florida before flying down to Jamaica will always be a mystery to me.
