Beer 2024: Your mom’s January won’t be dry.

Yeah I went to Weathered Souls last month and it was pretty terrible. One IPA on tap (their West Coast IPA), as well as a sour, a lager and then like 8 pastry stouts. Uh don't feel like drinking 16% ABV overly sweet stouts during the day in the middle of May.  They also ran out of about 75% of their food menu.

California grocery stores (not even beer stores) imo f66d5846d1c8b2745febfd94d798a13a.jpg

When I was in Santa Barbara a couple of weeks ago, While Foods had Saison DuPont on sale for $9.99. The regular price was only $11.99.

Great beer all over the place now.  It's easy to stay local.

Yeah, I haven’t sought out a non-local craft beer in years.  When I travel I drink what’s native there.

While the quality of the beer is of course paramount, the setting can most certainly enhance the experience

Fresh Pliny the Elder remains my favorite beer of all time.
