Kelly Maxwell and OU get the extra innings win against Washington.

OU doesn’t face another ranked team until March 2 (Louisiana)

Texas faces 8 more ranked teams in that same timeframe

I like seeing us listed among the “top 5 most impressive opening day teams”

Both Stanford and FSU dropped to unranked teams so if we have a good Saturday, we could be into the top 3

Are any of the games televised today?

Nope. We got lucky that we had a big time matchup on a Friday night when there’s not much basketball on ESPN. Too much of that today - the game is on Flo$oftball

tomorrow against LMU is ESPN+

Henry with an RBI double. Nice to see.

But then caught fucking around in a rundown.  Obstruction called on SD, she is safe at 3rd.

Well it’s not like bad baserunning won’t still be a thing with this team 😂

A school in fucking SD, CA should not be this bad at softball.

This team lost to UCLA in fall ball 2-1 and 7-6 yesterday

This might be Mike’s best team at Texas since 2020. And that’s saying something since he took one to the WCWS finals

Yeah, I was getting early 2020 vibes as well but didn't want to jinx it or trigger another global pandemic.

Also, two run HR for Stewart.  Love all this freshman talent!

2020 was also the last time UCLA lost a non-conf home game… to Texas!

Simpson not inspiring confidence in her first outing. 2 hits and a walk (and an error by the defense) leads to a run

Texas wins 16-1 (5)

Simpson continues to be the most erratic pitcher on our roster. She won't pitch much this season.

That’s a shame because she has great movement. But yes, her command just disintegrates at times.

grand slam mia scott.  Not fucking around this year apparently.  5-0.

I don’t think UCLA’s pitching is going to be OKC worthy this year. A good test nonetheless for our offense and we are passing it.
